Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 452

452.Chapter 452

452.Chapter 452

Frank stood next to Sophia, checking the time in his head. He thought, ‘Looks like it’s about time.’

Right then, three thugs sent by Allison suddenly showed up behind Sophia and Frank, closing in on them.

The thugs started talking in Havertonian, and Sophia could make out some of what they were saying.

Basically, they wanted them to hand over anything valuable they had.

Frank put himself between Sophia and the thugs, trying to shield her. “Don’t be scared,” he told her.

Sophia froze up. There were three of them, and this place was pretty far from the main area. Getting away or finding help would be next to impossible out here.

Frank started speaking to them in Havertonian, but with those guys threatening them, he gave up his wallet and both their phones.

But those guys still weren’t happy, so Frank had to take off his watch and hand that over, too.

But then, those thugs got even bolder and set their sights on Sophia.

The leader gave her a menacing glare, and Sophia’s stomach dropped. She knew things were about to take a turn for the

worse.

Frank instinctively moved to shield Sophia, putting himself fully between her and the thugs. Whatever those guys said next must’ve crossed the line, because Frank snapped and launched himself at them.

They were seriously outnumbered, and Frank kept backing up to keep Sophia safe.

It was the first time Sophia had ever seen Frank, who was always so gentle and polished, show such a fierce side that she’d never seen him like this before.

“Frank, watch out!” she called out.

Frank threw himself into protecting Sophia, making sure she didn’t get hurt at all. He fought back with his ski poles, refusing to back down.

When the thugs noticed Frank was already covered in cuts and bruises, they figured it wasn’t worth the trouble. They snatched up the wallet, phones, and other valuables from the ground, muttered a few curses, and hurried off. Sophia rushed over and helped Frank to his feet. “Frank, you’re bleeding!” she cried, worry written all over her face. Frank glanced at her, his eyes full of concern. “Sophia, are you hurt anywhere?” he asked.

Sophia shook her head and did her best to support Frank. “I’m okay. You were shielding me the whole time,” she replied. Sophia draped Frank’s arm over her shoulder, determined to help him get out of there.

But with their skis still strapped on, every step was slow and awkward. The lobby was pretty far away, and with their phones stolen by those thugs, there was no way to call May for help.

“Frank, just hang in there. We’ll take it slow and make our way back. Maybe we’ll run into some other tourists on the way,” Sophia said, trying to sound reassuring.

Frank gave her a faint smile. “I’m fine,” he said.

After they’d only gone a short way, the sky started to darken, and the wind whipped up, howling louder and louder. It felt like a blizzard was rolling in any minute.

Sophia and Frank could both feel their cheeks stinging and going numb from the freezing wind.

Easton finally arrived at the ski resort lobby, but by then, the weather had already turned nasty. Ryan and May had been ushered back inside by the staff long ago.

Outside, the blizzard was in full swing.

“Easton, we still haven’t found Sophia,” Ryan said, his voice strained with anxiety.

May stood off to the side, her eyes rimmed red and brimming with guilt, “It’s all my fault. If I hadn’t left Sophia by herself, she wouldn’t have disappeared.”

She added, “The snowstorm’s getting worse. Everything out there is just a blur of white. The search teams don’t even dare go out anymore. The last group came back half an hour ago but there’s still no trace of Sophia anywhere.”

Successfully unlocked!

Easton’s breath hitched, and a cold shiver ran down his spine as a horrible possibility hit him out of nowhere.

Without a second thought, he yanked off his skis, grabbed his poles, and headed straight for the door.

Ryan’s heart skipped a beat, and he rushed over to grab Easton’s arm.

He told Easton, “Easton, the weather’s way too dangerous out there. You can’t risk going out there! The search teams are already out there. Maybe they’ll find Sophia any minute now.”

Easton shook off his hand. “Do you really think I can just sit here and wait?” he snapped.
