Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 453

453 Chapter 453

453.Chapter 453

Seeing Easton was dead set on his decision, Ryan didn’t dare try to talk him out of it anymore.

After Easton finished speaking, he headed straight for the main entrance, only to be stopped by the staff.

Easton’s expression turned cold. “Fletcher, get them out of here,” he commanded.

At Easton’s order, Fletcher and his men quickly stepped forward, keeping the staff at bay.

Easton put on his sunglasses and marched on through the blizzard, unfazed by the raging snow.

Sophia and Frank kept moving forward, but as the snowstorm grew heavier, their visibility was much lower.

Sophia stared at the road ahead, realizing it didn’t look like the way they’d come. She felt a wave of anxiety. Frank was injured, and the weather was getting worse. “Frank, I think we’re lost,” she said.

Frank hadn’t expected the weather to work in his favor. This blizzard wasn’t part of his and Allison’s plan, but its arrival made it much easier for him to lead Sophia away.

“It’s fine. Let’s keep going. I checked the map before I brought my client here today. I vaguely remember there’s a small path ahead that leads out of the ski resort,” Frank said.

Sophia didn’t think much of it and just nodded, “Alright, let’s keep moving.”

Allison’s crew was already waiting for them on the small path.

When Sophia and Frank got to the path, they ran into two locals who looked like mountain villagers.

The “villagers” acted super friendly. As soon as they spotted Sophia and Frank, they came up, asked if they needed anything, and guided them out of the ski resort.

Sophia borrowed their phone and tried calling May, but the signal was terrible because of the storm. No matter how many times she dialed, she just couldn’t get through.

After taking off her skis, Sophia helped Frank toward the village. Noticing the obvious wounds on his face, she said, “Frank, you need to see a doctor. Let’s get you to the hospital first, and I’ll try May again once we’re there.”

Frank shook his head. He said, “I’m fine, really. No need to go out of our way to a hospital. Even here in Haverton, the paparazzi are relentless.”

He added, “If we show up at a hospital, it won’t take two hours before the tabloids start spinning wild stories. I don’t want you caught up in that mess, and I definitely don’t want Crestview or the Hayes Group dragged into it.”

Sophia got why he was worried. “But you’re injured, Frank. If you don’t get checked out soon, I’ll be anxious the whole time,”

she said.

Sophia glanced around. This looked like a small village near the ski resort, and it was practically deserted. Getting to a hospital from here was probably going to be a trek.

The two “villagers” who had helped them earlier spoke up. “The weather’s pretty rough right now, so getting to a hospital isn’t really an option,” they said.

They added, “If you’re okay with it, you can wait out the storm in our little cottage. Once things clear up, we’ll figure out a way to get you out of here.”

Sophia glanced at Frank. He was covered in injuries, his torn clothes already soaked through. The longer they waited out here, the worse his wounds would get.

“We don’t really have a choice right now, Sophia. Let’s stay here for a bit and try to reach them later,” Frank said.

Sophia gave a small nod and helped Frank into the cottage.

Frank went into the room to change, while Sophia was getting more and more worried since she still couldn’t reach May. She grabbed their phone again and tried May’s number one more time.

She dialed once, twice, three times, but still couldn’t get through.

Even Ryan’s phone wasn’t connecting.

The signal was barely showing on the phone. There was nothing she would do now except wait.
