459 Chapter 459
459.Chapter 459
Sophia didn’t want to go against her heart anymore. ‘If you don’t let me down again, maybe I’ll finally have the courage to move forward, she told herself.
She slowly lifted her hand and hugged Easton back around the waist, her voice gentle as she whispered, “Okay.”
When Easton heard Sophia’s answer, he pulled her into a tight embrace.
Nothing could compare to the feeling of getting back what you thought you’d lost.
Easton didn’t even want to let go.
Sophia was worried his leg would swell up even more if he kept standing, so she asked, “Easton, do you want to rest for a bit?”
Easton loosened his grip just a little, giving her a mischievous look. “Already trying to get me into bed, huh?” he said.
Sophia froze for a moment.
‘This jerk, he really knows how to get cocky, she thought.
“I’ll take the couch, you get the bed,” Sophia grumbled.
She shoved Easton aside and went to grab a pillow from the bed.
Easton just laughed behind her, slipped his arms around her waist, and sat her down on the bed beside him. “Let’s sleep together,” he said.
Sophia’s ears turned red. “Easton, you…” she said shyly.
Easton pressed his forehead into the crook of her neck, his voice low and rough, “We’re both clean freaks, remember? The hotel’s not exactly spotless. If we’re gonna do anything, let’s wait till we’re home.”
‘What a beast,’ Sophia grumbled inwardly, her cheeks flushing.
She nudged him, half-whining, “Come on, let me go already.”
Easton smirked, eyes glinting with mischief. “From the way you’re talking, seems like you’d be disappointed if I didn’t make a move,” he said.
Before Sophia could even process, he gently eased her onto the bed, his lips brushing past her ear and down to her neck. The heat of his breath made her tense up all over.
His kisses landed, light and scattered, and at some point, her collar had been tugged open. Lost in a haze, Sophia felt a rush of unfamiliar yet hauntingly familiar longing flooding her senses, leaving her mind spinning.
After a while, Easton finally let Sophia go. From her earlobe down to her neck and collarbone, hickeys bloomed like scattered cherry blossoms, pale skin flushed with pink.
The kind that would send anyone’s mind straight into the gutter.
With those suggestive marks on her neck, tomorrow, everyone who caught a glimpse would be dying to know if something spicy had happened between them tonight.
Even if nothing actually went down, it’d be more than enough for May to corner her and demand the whole story.
That night, Easton wasn’t about to let Sophia crash on the couch. After everything it took to finally win her back, there was no way he’d let her out of his arms. He was keeping his wife right by his side.
At four in the morning, Easton called Fletcher.
“See if Frank’s had any contact with anyone from Suncrest Holdings. And track down those three punks,” he ordered.
“Got it,” Fletcher replied.
“Also, dig up everything you can on those two villagers from that village. Once we’re back in Jenston, make sure Sophia’s got someone watching her twenty-four seven,” Easton added.
“Understood,” Fletcher said.
After hanging up, Easton stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray and headed into the bathroom for a cold shower.
When he came back to bed, he pulled Sophia close again, not willing to let her go for even a second.
Sophia cracked open her sleepy eyes and glance Successfully unlocked! me so tight, I can barely breathe,” she said.
Easton swallowed hard. If Sophia kept quiet, he could,

“Good girl, go to sleep. We’re going home tomorrow,” he murmured.
‘Tomorrow, I’ll finally be home, Sophia thought, a gentle sense of relief settling in her heart.

Watching Sophia throw caution to the wind and risk everything just to find Easton, Frank’s jealousy totally clouded his judgment. He couldn’t see straight for the envy burning inside him.
With May pulling the strings, he was able to get in touch with his assistant in no time.
