460.Chapter 460
Once he got back to the hotel, he shut himself up in his room and didn’t come out.
Allison kept calling over and over, but he just let her calls go unanswered.
It wasn’t until he finally calmed down that he called Allison back.
“Sophia and Easton are probably together now,” Frank said, his voice casual but tinged with bitterness.
Allison felt a wave of discomfort at his words, but she’d already reached out to her contacts in Haverton before calling him. She couldn’t really pin this on Frank, no matter how she felt.
If anyone was to blame, it was her. She’d really messed up this time.
Easton cared about Sophia so much, and once he knew she was in Haverton, there was no way he’d let anyone else bring herback, Hed her back. He’d go himself, no matter what.
If he hadn’t made it in time, Frank might’ve actually pulled it off.
But life doesn’t do “what ifs”.
Allison bit back her annoyance. “What’s done is done, and none of us wanted it to end up like this. When you get back, we’ll come up with a new plan together. There’s still a chance, so don’t lose hope yet,” she said.
Frank let out a cold laugh. ‘Discouraged? Me? After all these years, giving up was never an option for me, he sneered inwardly.
After hanging up, Allison’s other phone buzzed.
She answered, her tone deferential, “Boss.”
“Forget about your feelings for Easton for now. I’ll be back in Jenston next week. Once our plan goes through and he’s no longer Jenston’s top dog, he’ll finally notice you,” the boss said.
“Men only get to pick and choose when they’ve got money and power. But when they’ve lost it all, it’s child’s play for a woman to win a man’s heart,” the boss continued.
Allison didn’t dare talk back to the boss, not even a little.
“I understand,” she replied.
After hanging up, Allison gazed out at the Jenston skyline, a smirk playing on her lips. ‘Just because Frank couldn’t get. Sophia doesn’t mean I can’t have Easton, she thought.
She didn’t care if Easton lost everything. She only wanted him, and nothing else mattered.

At Haverton Airport, Easton showed up with Sophia right by his side. May squinted, unable to take her eyes off their joined hands.
Ryan threw an arm around her shoulders. “Babe, don’t start anything,” he told May.
May just huffed.
“Forget it, I’m sitting with Sophia,” she declared.
Ryan just shrugged. “Sorry, that’s not up to me. You’ll have to ask Easton,” he said.
Sophia walked alongside Easton, watching as May’s face cycled through a whole range of emotions in just a few seconds.
Sophia almost burst out laughing. If May didn’t get the full story today, she wouldn’t be able to sit still, and Ryan would be in for a headache, too.
“Easton, I’ll sit with May. You go sit with Ryan. Don’t let me get in the way of your business talk,” Sophia said.
Easton gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, his voice soft, “Alright.”
As soon as May saw Sophia coming over, she linked arms with her like she was guarding her own and marched ahead. ” Sophia, did you and Easton patch things up?” she asked.
Sophia nodded lightly.
May felt genuinely happy for her. She’d watched them go through so much. Easton was willing to risk his life for Sophia, and Sophia would give up everything for him.

May grinned, her eyes sparkling with gossip. “Looks like you two had quite the night,” she said.
She kept eyeing Sophia’s earlobe and neck, not even trying to hide her curiosity.
Sophia’s ears burned, and she quickly pulled her coat tighter. “Come on, it’s not what you think. Stop overthinking it,” she replied.
“Oh please. Unless Easton’s got some kind of problem, I don’t see how anyone could hold out against you. You’re basically irresistible,” May teased.
Easton and Ryan were walking right behind them, and every word May said landed straight in their ears.
Ryan looked Easton up and down and couldn’t help but smirk.
Easton’s face instantly darkened.
Ryan cleared his throat, struggling not to laugh. “May, keep it down, we’re in public,” he said.
