At Jenston International Airport, Gordon waited at the gate early in the morning. As soon as Easton and Sophia got off the plane, they headed straight for the car.

“Take us to Silvermoon Bay,” Easton said.

Sophia frowned and said, “Easton, we should go to Remony Medical Center first. Did you forget? The doctor said you need a CT scan today.”

Easton had indeed forgotten.

“Let’s go with Sophia’s plan. Take us to Remony Medical Center,” he said.

Ryan, still worried about Easton’s old injury, brought May along to the hospital as well.

Once they arrived, the director of the hospital had Easton go straight for a CT scan. The results came back quickly, showing nothing serious, just some minor swelling and inflammation in his joints.

The director prescribed some anti-inflammatory meds and a few patches, then said in a heartfelt tone to Easton, “You’re still young, so take care of yourself. Irene only has you as her grandson.”

He added, “With that old injury to your leg, you need to come in for regular check-ups. Don’t ignore it. Small problems can turn into big ones if you’re not careful.”

He glanced at Easton, then looked up at Sophia.-

“Mrs. Foster is young and beautiful. What if one day your old leg injury flares up and you’re stuck in a wheelchair? You’ll have to watch your wife dancing with some young hunk at parties. Bet you’ll be dying of jealousy,” he continued. Easton just stared at her, lost for words.

words.

Her merciless laughter was so loud that Ryan quickly covered her mouth and dragged her out of the director’s office. Sophia stood off to the side, barely holding back her laughter.

“Thank you, director. I’ll make sure to bring him in for regular check-ups,” she said with a smile, then tugged Easton out of the office.

The director had always been close to the Foster family and had watched Easton grow up. Now that he and Sophia were back together, the director was truly glad for him.

As Sophia pulled him through the hospital lobby, Easton’s spirits lifted unexpectedly.

He gave their joined hands a little shake. “Sophia, look at all these people. Aren’t you worried someone will see us holding hands?” he asked.

Sophia paused for a moment. ‘Wait, we’re just walking around here, hand in hand, in front of everyone. Aren’t we worried about getting caught by the paparazzi?’ she thought.

She instinctively tried to pull her hand away, but Easton just held on tighter.

“Afraid of what? It’s not like I’m hiding from anyone,” he joked.

Sophia pressed her lips together. “I didn’t mean it like that,” she replied,

Easton slipped his arm around her waist, pulling her close. “Oh? Then what did you mean by that?” he asked.

Sophia quickly changed the subject, “Let’s go back to Silvermoon Bay. I haven’t seen Lucas in days. Annie just texted me she brought him home.”

Easton couldn’t help but smile. “Okay, let’s head home,” he said.

At Windmere Estate.

Grace came out of the house after a phone call. “Irene, Easton and Mrs. Foster were back in Jenston. After they landed, they went straight to Remony Medical Center,” she said.

Irene was sitting by the garden pond, feeding the fish, when Grace came out to her.

“Is someone not feeling well? Why did they got Successfully unlocked! Ung off the plane?” Irene asked, worry in her

voice.

“It’s Easton. He hurt his leg,” Grace replied.

Irene’s grip on the fish food tightened, her expression growing stern. “What happened?” she asked.

Grace filled Irene in on everything that went down with Easton and Sophia in Haverton.

“Tell Warren to come see me,” Irene ordered.

“Got it,” Grace replied.

Half an hour later, Warren arrived at Windmere Estate.

“Warren, walk with me,” Irene said in a gentle tone.
