470.Chapter 470
As soon as she got to the office, she grabbed some files and headed straight for Easton’s office. Even though she’d promised Vivian to lay off Easton for now, she just couldn’t let it go.
Especially after finding out that Easton and Sophia were back together, she just couldn’t hold herself back anymore.
She knocked on the door.
“Come in,” Easton called out.
“Mr. Foster, here are the legal documents for the Southern Development Zone project. Please take a look. If everything checks out, just sign them, and Crestview Group can get started right away,” Allison said.
Easton put down his pen, took the documents, and glanced through them. “Has Ms. Chandler contacted Sophia yet?” he asked.
Allison shook her head.
Easton closed the file and handed it back to her, his expression serious. “Didn’t we already talk about this in the last meeting? Let Ms. Chandler and Sophia review these first before you bring them to me to sign,” he said.
Allison bit her lip, feeling wronged. Easton had never been this serious with her before.
Just as she was about to leave, Katherine knocked and walked in. “Mr. Foster, I’m heading to the Southern Development Zone in a bit. Sophia is already there. Would you like to come along?” she asked.
Easton nodded, grabbed his phone and jacket, and got up from his desk.
“Mind if I tag along? The project’s moving fast over at the Southern Development Zone, so I’ll just bring these to Sophia. If she needs any changes, I can update them on the spot,” Allison said.
Easton glanced at the documents in her hand and gave a nonchalant nod.
When they got to the garage, Allison assumed she’d be riding with Easton. But as soon as Easton got in his car, Gordon blocked her way and said, “Allison, why don’t you join Ms. Chandler in the other car?”
Allison managed an awkward smile. “Okay.”
Easton had just pulled up at the Southern Development Zone when Sophia and Emily arrived, too, stepping out of their car.
The afternoon sun was blazing. Sophia caught sight of Easton but didn’t even pause to greet him. She just headed straight for the office.
Easton lost for words.
‘Did I do something to upset her today?’ he wondered.
Gordon smiled and said, “Ms. Roth is probably just trying to avoid the sun. She’s not ignoring you on purpose.”
Easton looked a bit grumpy as he headed into the office with Gordon in tow.

Sophia flashed him a cheeky smile. “Sorry, Mr. Foster. It’s blazing out there. I was scared I’d get sunburned.”
Easton walked up to her and wiped the sweat off her forehead. “Come on, it’s already late October in Jenston. The weather’ s cool, the sun’s not strong enough to tan you now,” he teased.
Sophia knew he could be such a grump. “Mr. Foster, are you seriously mad I didn’t say hi when I saw you just now?” she asked.
Easton took her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. “Take a guess,” he laughed.
Sophia burst out giggling.
Truth was, he wasn’t mad at all. He was just scared Sophia might suddenly get mad at him for no reason, just like before, and freeze him out again.
When Katherine walked in with Allison, she found Easton and Sophia standing there, hand in hand.
Katherine grinned, “Looks like you two are about to make it official.”
Easton smiled at Sophia, totally smitten.
Sophia quickly dropped his hand. “Let’s get down to business,” he said to everyone.
The meeting was quick, everyone had finished talking things in just half an hour.
Successfully unlocked!
Easton got an overseas call and stepped out of the office Katherine and Gordon went to check on the construction site.
Sophia stayed behind to review the documents with Allison, and had Emily join Gordon and Katherine outside.

Everything looked good with the documents. Once Sophia had signed off, she handed them back to Allison.
Allison took the papers and glanced at Sophia. “Ms. Roth, mind if I have a word with you?” she asked.
