The knocking snapped Frank out of his thoughts. He frowned and quickly closed the location tracking window on his computer. “Come in,” he said.

“Mr. Hayes, Miss Vaughn has completed her onboarding paperwork today,” the assistant said.

Frank nodded absentmindedly and handed a file to his assistant. “Let her spend the next few days getting up to speed with

the business.

“If she wants to be part of the Hayes family, she needs to start at Hayes Group. Make sure you personally show her the ropes when you have a chance.”

The assistant glanced through the file and asked, “Mr. Hayes, do you mean Miss Vaughn to handle the hotel business?”

“That’s right. Walk her through everything step by step and make sure she memorizes all this material. In three days, have her connect with Sophia,” Frank instructed.

“Understood, Mr. Hayes,” the assistant replied.

At Crestview Group, Sophia was juggling Derrick’s responsibilities between Jenston and Riverdale.

Ever since he acquired Nexterra Resources, he merged his old energy company with Nexterra to launch a new tech conglomerate, so these days he had been constantly shuttling between the two cities.

Julian was already buried in his own workload, and with Crestview picking up several new projects at once, Sophia had no

chance to catch a break even if she wanted to.

Easton had been grumbling about her for ages. Even as the boss of a global company, he wasn’t half as busy as Sophia, just a VP at Crestview.

Sophia would sometimes lay it on thick, telling Easton that under his brilliant leadership, Foster Group was packed with geniuses, and with him being a legend himself, of course he didn’t have to micromanage every little thing.

But barely two seconds after saying that, she’d kick him out of her study, telling him to stop bothering her and stay out.

Just as Sophia wrapped up her meeting, her phone buzzed. It was Easton, “Sophia, will you grace me with your company for dinner tonight?”

Sophia ducked her head with a smile. It was true, she hadn’t really spent quality time with him in days. Her work was mostly done anyway, and she could finish up the rest at home tonight, so she said yes.

Before the workday was even over, Easton pulled up at Crestview Group. The moment he walked into the lobby, everyone’s attention was instantly on him.

The receptionist asked excitedly, “Is that Mr. Foster from Foster Group?”

Her coworker nodded. “Yeah.”

“Wow, Jenston’s legendary billionaire! This is the first time I’ve ever seen him in person. He’s rich, he’s handsome, he’s literally every girl’s dream,” the receptionist gushed.

Her coworker rolled her eyes. “Forget it. Mr. Foster might be marrying into our company soon.”

The receptionist’s eyes were still sparkling. “Really? That’s awesome! I finally have a new ship to fangirl over.”

Her coworker followed her gaze to their future prince consort.

“Yeah, he’s hot and rich, but honestly, a guy that perfect? He’s the type you’d never feel secure with. In all of Jenston, only Sophia could actually handle him,” she sighed.

The receptionist nodded vigorously, “Totally!”

Easton didn’t even blink at all the gawking and made a beeline for the elevator, riding it straight up to the top floor.

Right outside Sophia’s office, he bumped into Julian.

“Got a minute?” Julian asked before Easton could even knock.
