She always made sure to set up a time with Sophia ahead of time, so she never ended up bothering her.

Sophia loved sketching, while Charlotte had inherited her grandfather’s talent for calligraphy.

“Charlotte, you really inherited your grandfather’s skills. This calligraphy is incredible! Honestly, if you ever got tired of business, you could totally crush it in the calligraphy scene,” Sophia said.

She couldn’t stop smiling as she admired the piece Charlotte had just finished.

Charlotte lowered her eyes with a soft smile. “Sophia, you’re giving me way too much credit. I’m just messing around, these little tricks are only good enough to impress you, not really worthy of the big leagues.”

Sophia shook her head with a smile. “You’re just being too modest.”

Charlotte came out of the bathroom after washing her hands and settled onto the couch. “If you like them, I’ll write a few more for you next time,” she said.

Sophia’s eyes crinkled with a smile. “Sounds great,” she replied.

After their meeting, May and Derrick knocked and walked in. “Hey, looks like the two artists are having an art-off.” May teased.

Charlotte stood up politely and shook May’s hand. “Hello, Ms. Young.”

May gave her a gentle handshake. “No need to be so formal. Sophia and I are close friends, just call me May.”

Charlotte smiled and nodded, “Alright, May.”

Seeing it was getting late, Sophia said, “Charlotte, want to grab lunch with us? Just the three of us, me, May, and Emily. If you’re free, come along.”

Charlotte had actually been planning to ask Sophia out for lunch herself, so since Sophia invited her first, she was happy to accept.

“Sure, hope I’m not crashing your lunch,” Charlotte replied.

Since Sophia and Emily were both huge fans of seafood, and Jenston’s weather was so chilly. They ended up heading to Charles’s hot pot spot.

“Hello, Ms. Roth. Mr. Foster already had your private room set up for you. Please come with me,” the waiter said.

Sophia blinked in surprise. ‘Wait, how did Easton know we’d be coming here for lunch?’ she thought.

While she was still thinking about it, her phone buzzed. It was Easton calling. “Have you eaten yet?” he asked.

“Not yet, we just arrived. How did you know I’d be coming here for lunch?” Sophia asked.

Easton let out a low chuckle, “May refused to have lunch with Ryan, so he came to complain to me. I figured you’d all end

up here, so I asked the manager to get your room ready ahead of time.”

“Easton, you’re being so sweet. Are you expecting some kind of reward?” Sophia teased.

Easton gave a sly grin. “The package arrived at home this afternoon. Wear it for me tonight, will you?” he replied.

Sophia’s cheeks flushed instantly. ‘Seriously? This jerk actually bought it,’ she thought.

That night, Sophia was scrolling through her phone, watching some livestreams on a social media app. She just casually

said, “Wow, these lingerie sets are so pretty now, and the models all have amazing bodies.”

Easton, lounging beside her, just shrugged and said, “Her body’s not as good as yours.”

Turns out, he actually went and secretly bought that outfit for her.

Sophia gritted her teeth. “In your dreams!” she said.

Easton just laughed on the other end, and Sophia was blushing so hard, even her ears were turning red.
