504 Chapter 504
504.Chapter 504
When Easton got home, he saw Sophia lying in bed. She’d already turned in for the night, but he could tell she looked a bit pale.
Easton walked over, concern written all over his face, “Sophia, are you alright?”
Hearing Easton’s voice, Sophia blinked her eyes open slowly. “I’m fine, it’s just that time of the month,” she murmured.
Easton sat down on the edge of the bed, his brow furrowed. “Is it always like this for you?” he asked.
Sophia nodded. “Yes.”
Easton headed downstairs, came back with a glass of warm water, and a hot water bottle in hand.
Seeing him handle everything like he’d done this a hundred times before, even gently rubbing her stomach, Sophia looked at him with a teasing smile. “Easton, how come you know exactly what to do?” she asked.
Easton leaned down and kissed her softly.
“I just looked it up online,” he said.
Sophia’s eyes crinkled with a gentle smile as she spoke softly, “Easton, I never knew you could be so sweet.”
Easton stayed quiet for a moment, then said, “Sophia, if you were pregnant, maybe you wouldn’t have to deal with all this pain, right?”
Sophia was stunned for a few seconds, then broke into a smile. “What are you even thinking?” she said.
Easton sat on the edge of the bed, holding her hand. “Why don’t we just go with the flow and maybe have another baby?” he asked.
“You really want that?” Sophia asked.
Easton nodded, his thoughts swirling, ‘If Sophia gets pregnant again, maybe she’ll finally agree to marry me.’
Before Sophia could answer, Easton leaned down and kissed her forehead. “It’s getting late. I’ll go take a shower, then come back and lie down with you.”

Sophia gave him a gentle smile. “Okay.”
Honestly, Sophia didn’t really mind the idea of having another baby, but she and Easton had only just patched things up. Not even sure if things were solid between them yet. ‘If I got pregnant again now, wouldn’t that be moving way too fast?’ she thought.

In Cedarica, Allison’s voice tinged with frustration, “Dad, didn’t we agree we’d wait until I was healed up before heading back to Menolia? Why are you suddenly changing your mind and saying we have to leave next week?”
Rowen sat on the edge of the bed, his face stern, and said, “Allison, stop trying to find reasons to stay in this country. Menolia’s hospitals are just as good as the ones here. You’ll get all the care and recovery you need back home.”
He added, “I don’t know if you were involved in this accident or not, but Easton isn’t someone you can mess with. If he ever finds out what you’re really planning, you have no idea how bad things could get.”
Rowen let out a heavy sigh, “Allison, let go of those impossible dreams, okay? I’m getting old. Please, just listen to me this once and come back to Menolia with me next week, alright?”
Allison’s eyes were rimmed with tears, and she sat quietly on the hospital bed for a long time, lost in thought. At last, she whispered, “Okay, I get it.”
Rowen’s face finally broke into a relieved smile when he heard Allison’s answer. “Good, I’m glad.”
After Rowen left the hospital, Allison’s face was tight with frustration. She pulled out her burner phone and called Frank, “I’ m heading back to Menolia with my dad next week.”
,She added, “You keep your side of the plan rolling, and whatever the boss told me to do, I’ll make sure it gets handled here.” Frank replied, “Just go back for now. Keep your dad happy, then you’ll have room to maneuver. If you stick around, Easton’s gonna get suspicious sooner or later. Lay low for now, and maybe things will go smoother later.”
Allison was on the same page. “Relax, I’ll be back before the big launch at the Cedarica Research Center. That’s when I will finally get my shot to make a move.” She promised.
