Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 507

507 Chapter 507

507.Chapter 507

The year-end rush at Crestview Group was in full swing, and before Sophia realized it, the New Year was just a month away.

Ever since Sophia discovered everything Frank had done behind her back, she’d lost all faith in him.

‘Turns out, you really can’t tell what people are thinking,’ Sophia thought to herself.

Who would’ve thought he’d actually team up with Vivian?

Easton and Frank were now completely at odds.

Given how Easton operates, he’s not the type to let Frank off the hook so easily. But where does that leave Charlotte?

Their wedding date was fast approaching.

Just as Sophia was lost in thought, May and Charlotte walked into her office together.

“Sophia, what are you thinking about? We knocked, but you didn’t even notice us coming in,” May said.

Sophia snapped out of it and gave them a faint smile.

“I was just thinking about work, so I didn’t hear you knock,” she replied.

May and Charlotte sat down across from Sophia. “Charlotte’s already signed the addendum. Take a look. If everything looks good, just sign at the bottom,” May said.

Sophia picked up the document and read through it carefully. Once she was sure there were no issues, she passed it back to May.

“I’ll head out now. The firm’s crazy busy today, so I’ll take this back and get it filed. Once I’m done, I’ll get it back to you,” May

said.

Sophia nodded. “Okay.”

After May left, Charlotte lingered in Sophia’s office. “You looked pretty stressed just now. Is it something with the project?” she asked.

Sophia shook her head, glanced at Charlotte, and after a moment’s hesitation, said quietly, “Charlotte, your wedding to Frank is coming up fast. Are you actually going to do what you talked about last time?”

Charlotte understood right away. “Even if I wanted to, my grandpa would never go for it. Honestly, Frank and I have a deal. We’re just going to be married on paper, nothing real between us. Once my grandpa’s gone, I’ll file for divorce.”

Sophia was caught off guard. ‘So Charlotte had this all figured out from the start. No wonder they signed that prenup, she thought.

Frank only agreed to marry Charlotte because he wanted to leverage Mason’s backing.

‘I can’t believe Frank’s become like this. He’s willing to put his own marriage on the line if it benefits him, Sophia thought.

“Charlotte, I know I’m just an outsider, so I shouldn’t really get involved in your personal business. But after spending time with you, I know you’re kind and you’ve got a mind of your own,” Sophia said.

She added, “I just don’t want to see you go down a road that’ll only make you miserable.”

Charlotte looked up at Sophia, confusion written all over her face. ‘Why is Sophia bringing this up out of nowhere today?’ she wondered.

“Charlotte, marriage is a big deal. It’s not something to mess around with. You’re still young, and you have every right to go after your own happiness,” Sophia said.

‘Frank’s not the right guy for you,’ Sophia thought, but she kept those words to herself.

Chadotte lowered her eyes and gave a bitter, self-deprecating smile. She sighed, “But I’m the Vaughn family’s only daughter, and this marriage is already set in stone.”

She added, “No matter how much I want to refuse, there’s nothing I can do to change it. And Easton? He’s always looking out for his own interests. To him, I’m just a bargaining chip for his business deals.”

Sophia finally understood what Charlotte was up against in the Vaughn family.

‘Mason, the new president of the Chamber of Commerce, looks like he’s not exactly a good guy either, Sophia thought.

After work, Sophia had planned to swing by Foster Group and wait for Easton to finish his meeting so they could head home together.
