509 Chapter 509
509.Chapter 509
After the meeting, Easton left the conference room with some documents in hand. Gordon followed close behind, giving his report.
“Mr. Foster, Ms. Roth just ran into Frank outside the mall. Our people saw him block her path and thought he might try something, so they stepped in right away,” Gordon reported.
Easton stopped in his tracks, his expression instantly turning icy. “Frank blocked Sophia’s way?” he asked.
Gordon nodded.
Easton strode into his office, grabbed his coat and car keys, and rushed out.
When Sophia got Frank’s message, she didn’t reply. She just acted like he didn’t exist.
Running into Frank outside the mall hadn’t put her in a bad mood at all. Instead, she was enjoying some rare downtime, browsing the shops while her bodyguards hung back, giving her plenty of space.
After she walked into the men’s department, they waited by the entrance, watching the surroundings carefully and keeping an eye out for anything unusual.
Easton called Sophia, “Where are you?”
Sophia smiled. “I’m picking out some clothes for you. Are you done with your meeting?” she replied.
“Yeah, I’ll come get you, and we’ll head home,” Easton said.
Sophia walked out of the men’s department, shopping bags in hand. “Alright, I’ll come down now.”
When she got to the mall entrance, she spotted Easton leaning casually against his car. That gray suit he wore today really brought out his sharp looks and tall frame.
Sophia just stood there, totally stunned. O
Easton glanced up, catching Sophia standing at the door, spaced out and not moving an inch. He chuckled and strolled right over to her.
“I know I’m easy on the eyes, but Ms. Roth, you don’t have to stare at me like you’re lovestruck,” he teased.
Sophia coughed lightly. “Who says I was staring at you? Talk about being full of yourself.”
Sophia
Easton slipped one hand into his pocket, a mischievous grin on his face as he bent down to meet Sophia’s eyes.
He said, “Who needs dignity when I’ve got you? If you love staring so much, I’ll strip down at home and let you enjoy the view as long as you want.”
Sophia quickly clamped a hand over his mouth, darting nervous glances around. “Can you not say stuff like that out here? We’re in public!” she lowered her voice and said.
Easton took her shopping bags in one hand and wrapped his other arm around her waist. “Yeah, not the best place for this. Let’s head home. We’ve got all night to… Talk about it.”
Sophia froze for a moment.
Sophia could already feel her waist starting to ache just imagining it.
Easton opened the passenger door for Sophia, letting her in. As he shut the door, he caught sight of a black Bentley parked across the street.
Easton and Frank locked eyes through the car windows. The warmth on Easton’s face vanished, replaced by a cold intensity. His dark gaze was swirling with dangerous undercurrents.
Frank’s stare was downright menacing, his eyes cold and predatory.
Without sparing Frank another glance, Easton got in and drove off with Sophia.
Frank’s mood crashed hard. It felt like a weight was crushing his chest. He could barely breathe.
Sophia still hadn’t replied to his messages. He knew she was siding with Easton now.
He let out a cold laugh. ‘Whatever. It won’t be long before those two break up. I’m not in a rush. As long as Sophia’s mine in the end, that’s enough, he thought.
Sophia sat in the car, sneaking glances at Easton beside her. He had already noticed her staring, a faint smile tugging at his lips before he reached out and took her hand.
“You keep sneaking looks at me like that. It’s really hard to keep my eyes on the road,” he teased.
Sophia smiled and asked, “Easton, when did you start putting people around me to keep tabs on where I go?”

The car stopped at a red light, and Easton turned to her. He said, “Ever since we got back from Haverton.”
