After Emily left, she handed one of the files to Charlotte and said, “I asked Emily to prepare this extra copy for you. Take a look when you have time. It might be helpful for your future management.”

Charlotte took the file from Sophia. “Thank you so much.”

Sophia smiled, “Let’s head to a restaurant near the airport for lunch first. Emily’s already taken care of our tickets.”

“Got it,” Charlotte replied.

Charlotte packed up her things and headed out with Sophia from Crestview Group.

“Easton really goes out of his way to protect you. I never noticed before, but now I see you always have bodyguards following you around,” Charlotte said.

Sophia glanced in the rearview mirror as she drove, smiling slightly. She said, “They never used to follow me this closely. Honestly, I never noticed them myself until…”

Sophia didn’t mention Frank. Things between Charlotte and Frank were way too sensitive, and it wasn’t her place to bring it up. Still, she figured she’d find the right moment to tell Charlotte about it.

“Once I realized they were there, I just stopped caring about them following me around,” Sophia added.

Charlotte nodded.

As Sophia and Charlotte headed to the airport, their bodyguards kept a close watch, shadowing them all the way.

Frank was cautious, keeping a safe distance and staying out of sight. He followed a few cars behind, making sure they didn’

t notice him.

When Sophia and Charlotte arrived at the airport, they headed to a restaurant inside. Barely had they taken their seats when Sophia was hit by a sudden wave of nausea. She clamped a hand over her mouth and dashed straight to the restroom.

Charlotte, worried, hurried after her.

“Sophia, what’s wrong?” Charlotte called out.

Sophia was hunched over the toilet, retching hard, while Charlotte stood behind her, soothing her by rubbing her back.

Charlotte quickly handed her a tissue. “Here, clean yourself up.”

Sophia leaned against the bathroom wall, her face pale and drained.

Charlotte, still worried, said, “How about we go see a doctor? There’s a clinic right by the airport.”

Sophia felt terrible, and seeing a doctor might help calm her nerves. But deep down, what really unsettled her was the nagging suspicion: ‘What if I really am pregnant?’

Frank was lingering near the airport restaurant when he spotted Charlotte supporting Sophia, whose face was pale and looked like she might collapse any second.

‘Is Sophia sick?’ Frank wondered.

But with Charlotte right there and a couple of bodyguards close behind, he made sure Sophia wouldn’t notice he was following them.

He trailed them all the way to the hospital, and when he saw Charlotte sign Sophia in at the OB-GYN desk, Frank’s eyes narrowed, a storm of doubt brewing inside him.

He pulled out his phone and called his assistant.

The airport hospital was pretty quiet, so Sophia and Charlotte barely waited half an hour before their names were called.

The doctor sent Sophia off for a blood test.

Sophia looked at the test results, feeling a little dazed. It was just like six years ago, but this time, her heart was different. She actually felt a bit hopeful, even happy. ‘Is this really happening? Am I… Actually excited about this?’ she wondered.

After the blood was drawn, Sophia and Charlotte waited outside the doctor’s office. Fifteen minutes later, the nurse called Sophia’s name, and she went inside.

“Hello, Ms. Roth. Your test results are back. You’re not pregnant, just a little anemic. I’ll write you a prescription for some iron supplements. Take them as directed over the next few days, and make sure to get enough rest,” the doctor said.

“Okay, thank you, doctor,” Sophia replied.
