520 Chapter 520

520.Chapter 520

Ryan’s phone suddenly rang. It was May calling.

“Ryan, Charlotte just called me. She said Sophia had been kidnapped. Weren’t there always bodyguards with her? How could she just disappear like that?” May asked, her voice full of worry.

Ryan instinctively glanced at Easton beside him, keeping his voice as low as possible. He said, “May, we already know. We re handling it. I can’t really talk right now. Don’t worry, I’ll update you the moment I hear anything.”

Before May could say anything else, Ryan hung up.

“Mr. Foster, turns out Sophia went to Duskspire with Charlotte today. Vivian’s personal assistant was there too, and our people had already detained her,” Ryan said.

Easton slowly opened his eyes.

Easton knew Vivian had to be involved somehow in Sophia’s kidnapping.

Easton said harshly, “Take Samantha to Fletcher. I’m sure she’ll spill something once she’s in front of him.”

“Got it,” Ryan replied, and immediately called Fletcher.

A moment later, Easton pulled out his phone and made another call, “Drop everything and get to Windmere ASAP to handle things here. Frank just took Sophia. I’m heading straight to Duskspire.”

Stunned, the person quickly answered, “Got it, I’m on my way.”

Easton was wracked with guilt. ‘If only I’d insisted on keeping Sophia by my side, none of this would’ve happened; he thought, his heart heavy with regret.

Out in the desolate suburbs of Duskspire, there was an abandoned villa.

Frank had brought over some food earlier, but Sophia hadn’t touched a single bite.

Night had fallen, and Sophia stared out the window, feeling utterly weighed down. She knew Easton must be worried sick about her, frantically searching for any sign of where she might be.

It had been five hours since Frank snatched her from the hotel. By now, Easton should have already made it from Windmere

to Duskspire.

Sophia felt terrible. Her head was dizzy, her stomach churned, and with Frank having tied up her hands and feet, she was completely helpless.

Frank walked in and saw Sophia leaning weakly against the bed, her face ghostly pale. His gaze was full of anguish.

He sat down beside her and reached out to touch her cheek, but Sophia instinctively shrank back, panic flickering in her

eyes.

Seeing her so frightened made Frank’s heart clench.

He clenched his jaw, a storm of pain and resentment raging inside him.

But he forced himself to hold back, raising the cup in his hand and offering it to Sophia. “Drink this,” he said.

Sophia glanced down and saw a cup of warm milk.

“Frank, just forget it. I’d rather die than go to Evaris with you,” Sophia said, her voice cold and unwavering.

Frank’s voice was low and tense, right beside her, “Sophia, you’ve loved Easton for so many years, waited for him all that time. I’ve done the same. Why won’t you ever look back at me?”

He added, “I thought after you two divorced, maybe I’d finally have a shot. I don’t even mind that you had his child in secret. If you’d just give me a chance, I’d love Lucas like he was my own.”

Sophia’s body went rigid, her fingers clenching so tightly her knuckles turned white.

“Sophia, just be good and drink it, okay? When you wake up, we’ll be somewhere new, and we can start a whole new life together,” Frank coaxed.

‘Once you drink this, the baby in your belly will be gone before you even wake up, and you won’t feel a thing,’ Frank thought, his obsession chilling.

‘After that, you and I will have our own child. That’s how it should be, he told himself, convincing himself this was the only

way.
