Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 521

521 Chapter 521

521.Chapter 521

Frank watched Sophia in silence, his patience hanging by a thread and ready to snap any second.

Ignoring Sophia’s wishes, Frank looked set to force the milk down her throat.

Sophia stayed calm, working out ways to stall and buy Easton and Fletcher more time.

“Frank, my hands and feet are numb. Can you let me go for a bit? I’m really not feeling well today. You must’ve noticed I saw

a doctor near the airport when you were following me,” Sophia said, her voice much gentler now.

Sophia’s softer tone made Frank relax a little, his tension easing up.

He reached out and gently smoothed her hair. “Sophia, I’ll untie you, but you have to stay where I can see you,” he said softly.

Sophia nodded in response.

Frank quickly untied her.

Sophia was careful not to make any obvious moves. She steadied herself against the bedside cabinet and slowly got to her feet.

Seeing her try to get out of bed and walk, Frank instinctively reached out to help, but she pulled away from him. “Sophia, don’t push me away. It really hurts me when you do this,” Frank said, his voice full of pain.

Sophia looked up at him and said, “Frank, you were always the kind, reliable senior I looked up to. I always saw you as a good friend. But now, you feel like a stranger to me, and honestly, you scare me.”

“Sophia, a lot of what Easton said isn’t true,” Frank replied.

Sophia steadied herself against the dresser. “So, are you saying it’s not true that you just watched the Hayes Group help the Weston Group chase down Crestview, and then tried to use that as a reason to marry me for business?” she asked.

“Or that you used my name to cancel the engagement with the Kerr family?” she added.

“Or was it real that you deliberately followed us to Haverton, plotted with Vivian, and tried to destroy my reputation at that ski resort?” she sneered.

Frank was at a loss for words. Everything Sophia said was true. He really had done all those things.

Sophia gave a mocking laugh, “Frank, every single thing I mentioned, you did it, didn’t you?”

Frank anxiously moved closer, trying to pull her into his arms. “Sophia, please, just hear me out. I had my own reasons for everything I did.”

Sophia slapped his hand away. “Don’t touch me! Frank, you’re not the senior I used to know. When did you change into someone like this?” she snapped.

Sophia lifted her gaze, her eyes cold. “Don’t even try to blame it on me. I’m not that powerful. Frank, was it when your grandpa decided to bring that secret son back into the family? Is that when you changed?”

Frank’s hands fell limply as he sank onto the bed. “That’s right.”

Sophia took small, careful steps, putting more distance between them.

Frank’s eyes burned with frustration as he spoke, “I’m the eldest son of the Hayes family. It was supposed to be a given that the Hayes Group would be mine someday.”

He continued, “But I never thought my grandpa would actually consider bringing Dexter, that illegitimate son, back to take over everything.”

He snapped, “What right does he have? I’ve been groomed as the successor since I was a kid. They drilled it into me that I was destined to run the Hayes family. I’ve always played along with every plan, just their obedient little puppet.”

He added, “And what did I get in return? My grandpa went behind my back and told his secretary I wasn’t good enough to take over. So what, if I’m not good enough, that illegitimate son?”

He sneered, “Dexter is just the kid of some hostess. What right does he have to fight me for this?”

Frank grew more and more worked up as he spoke.
