Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 528

528 Chapter 528

528.Chapter 528

Seeing her safe and with family and close friends, Easton thought to himself, ‘Good, she’s fine. I can relax and focus on networking.’ Then he started mingling with the guests.

Ryan and Charles were hanging out nearby when Dexter walked over. The three of them shared a toast.

“Three years, huh? You look way better than you did back in Windmere,” Charles said with a laugh.

Just then, Easton walked over, holding his glass.

Dexter raised his glass to Easton. “Easton,” he said.

Easton clapped Dexter on the shoulder. “Really appreciate your help this time.”

Dexter gave a faint smile. “Getting rid of someone I’ve wanted to deal with for ages? That’s nothing. Frank’s a total hypocrite. Letting him live this long was already more than I could tolerate.”

Easton patted him on the back. “Your mom can finally rest in peace.”

Most people had no idea, but Easton knew Frank and his mother were the ones who killed Dexter’s mom.

The day Dexter got Ryan’s call, he rushed straight to Evaris, quickly tracked down Frank’s hiding spot, took care of him, and ordered his men to dump the body in international waters.

When Dexter got back, he didn’t hide it from Jackson. He was furious, but when it came to Dexter, he couldn’t do much about it.

After Easton had a few drinks with them, the business executives crowded around him again, and even some new company reps came over to chat.

Everyone who approached was either trying to make themselves known to Easton or had something to ask of him. Having seen this play out countless times, Sophia knew not to bother him.

Besides, it hadn’t even been a month since her miscarriage, so she couldn’t drink. Easton had already told her before they left to just stick with Irene tonight.

But Sophia could tell Easton had put away quite a bit of alcohol tonight. Even with Ryan nearby, she could see he was definitely starting to look tipsy.

She waved over a hotel waiter and asked for a glass of honey water for Easton.

A moment later, the waiter brought the honey water over. When Easton heard it was from Sophia, he instinctively looked over at her. When she nodded, he relaxed and downed the honey water.

As the party entered its later stages, Sophia saw Irene and Edward off, then returned to the hall. She glanced around, but Easton was nowhere to be found.

She walked over to Charlotte. “Have you seen Easton?” she asked.

Charlotte looked at Sophia, puzzled. “Didn’t you just help him upstairs to the second floor?” she replied.

Sophia’s expression stiffened. “No, I was just seeing Irene and Edward out the door…”

Sophia could sense something was off, and a wave of dread washed over her.

She hurried over to Ryan and the others, with Charlotte following behind, quickly explaining. Charlotte said she’d seen someone who looked exactly like Sophia, wearing the same dress, helping Easton upstairs about half an hour ago.

At the time, Charlotte just assumed Easton was drunk and Sophia was helping him to the private lounge.

When Ryan and Dexter saw Sophia hurrying over, Ryan asked, “Sophia, what’s going on?”

Sophia quickly explained what happened. Ryan smacked his forehead. “Damn, I let my guard down. I saw Easton was really drunk, so I helped him to the side lounge to rest.

“I was just about to come find you when some clients stopped me.”

Dexter, worried Easton might be in trouble, bolted for the stairs, with Sophia and Charlotte hurrying after him.

When they got to the second-floor lounge, they found the door locked from the inside. Without hesitating, Dexter kicked

the door in.

As Sophia stepped into the bedroom, she saw a dress identical to hers lying all over the floor. And it wasn’t just her dress. Even Easton’s suit was tossed on the ground.

On the bed lay a woman, stark naked. It was Allison.
