534 Chapter 534
534.Chapter 534
He gave Charlotte a curt nod as a greeting, then led Eleanore away.
Once they were gone, Charlotte figured it was time for her to leave, too.
“Miss Vaughn, sounds like you had quite the time in college. I never got to experience that, so I’m honestly kind of envious,” came a voice from behind her.
Charlotte looked up and met those sharp eyes. A cold sweat broke out on her back.
“I… She… It’s not what you think,” Charlotte stammered.
Dexter sauntered over and dropped himself right next to her. “I’ve got all night. Go ahead, I’m all ears.”
Charlotte just stared, speechless.
‘Seriously, Dexter? Tonight’s supposed to be your big promotion night. Shouldn’t you be busy with all that? How do you even have time to mess with me right now?’ Charlotte thought.
Dexter didn’t give Charlotte a chance to escape. He slid his arm around her waist, pulling her close.
His eyes were dangerously seductive. Charlotte felt like if she stared any longer, she’d be done for.
“Fine, fine, I’ll tell you! Just let go of me, okay?” Charlotte protested, squirming in Dexter’s arms.

Ever since Charlotte joined Crestview Group, Sophia ended up with two assistants now. Emily was already a pro, and while Charlotte was still a total newbie, she was super hardworking and smart.
Emily and Charlotte shared an office, and most of the time, Emily was the one showing Charlotte the ropes.
Charlotte never shied away from hard work. She was practically living in the office, always putting in extra hours.
Rain or shine, Dexter never missed a day. He was always there waiting to pick her up after work.
One evening, Easton swung by Crestview Group and spotted Dexter waiting in his car by the curb. “What, she won’t let you go upstairs?” he teased.
Dexter just shrugged, a little exasperated. “Charlotte won’t let me come up.”
Easton smirked, “Yeah, she hasn’t said yes to you yet. Hang in there, bro.”
Easton definitely wasn’t about to admit he’d been in the exact same boat himself.
Rothea Designs had ended their contract with Suncrest Holdings, and Jason was left to handle all the loose ends. Meanwhile, Sophia was busy with other projects at Rothea Designs.
Easton knocked and walked in, catching Sophia hard at work on her designs. He let out a dramatic sigh, “Sophia, you’re so hardworking. Sometimes I feel like no matter how much I earn as your husband, I just can’t keep up.”
Sophia took off her glasses and smiled. “Come on, Easton, these little projects of mine barely bring in any cash. You’re the one raking it in. Honestly, I’m counting on you to fund all my little habits.”
Easton leaned back, looking at her with a teasing grin. “Sophia, you actually have little habits? Spill it, I want to hear all about them.”
“I love spending money, obviously. In your eyes, aren’t women like me just ‘spendthrift wives’?” Sophia teased.
Easton chuckled, shaking his head, “If you’re willing to spend my money, I’m over the moon. How could I ever call you that? Honestly, there’s no way you could ever bankrupt me.”
Sophia nodded. “Exactly! You make money way faster than I could ever spend it.”
Easton was clearly delighted by Sophia’s response.
“Ryan and May’s wedding is coming up in two days. Are you going to keep her company tomorrow night?” Easton asked.
“Of course! Aren’t you going to be there for Ryan?” Sophia replied.
Easton nodded. “I’ll take Lucas back to Windmere Estate tonight, and then I’ll drive over and bring him to the wedding party the day after tomorrow.”
“Perfect, thanks for taking care of it, Easton,” Sophia said with a smile.
June stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel, and slowly made her way to the bed, climbing in.
“Mason, my revenge plan is about to kick off. You promised you’d have my back, right?” June said, her voice low and

Mason reached out and gently stroked her cheek, a sly smile tugging at his lips. “Of course.”
