Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 547

547 Chapter 547

547.Chapter 547

Sophia had a dream.

“Someone like you, so scheming, I’ll never love you. Just because you’re having my kid doesn’t mean I’ll ever change my mind. You’re dead wrong. Stella’s the only one I care about,” Easton said coldly.

“Sophia, Easton will never love you. If you didn’t look like me, do you really think he’d even notice you?” Stella sneered.

Sophia demanded, “Easton, is what Stella said really true?

“Easton, don’t leave.

“Easton, say something! Why are you just standing there? Why are you holding her? Let go of her.

“Stella, don’t steal my baby! Give me back my baby.

“Easton, I was so stupid. I never should have forgiven you.”

As soon as Easton got off the plane, Warren hurriedly drove him straight back to Silvermoon Bay. The moment Easton walked into the bedroom, he heard Sophia muttering in her sleep.

She was drenched in sweat.

Easton rushed over and pulled her into his arms. He said, “Sophia, I’m back. Did you have a nightmare?”

Sophia’s eyes snapped open at the sound of his voice. The moment she saw Easton, she clung desperately to his shirt.

She cried out, “Easton, you don’t have to love me, but please, don’t take my baby away. Don’t let Stella take my baby with you.”

Easton’s heart ached as he held her in his arms. He thought, ‘How did she get so thin and frail in just a few days?’

“Sophia, did you have a nightmare? Take a good look around: this is our home. You’re safe here. The baby’s safe and sound in Menolia. I came back early just to be with you,” Easton said softly.

After hearing him, Sophia slowly lifted her head. Easton’s face was right there, so vivid and close. She reached out, brushing his cheek, and realized she’d just freaked out. She tried to pull herself together.

“Yeah, I had a nightmare. Sorry, I scared you,” Sophia murmured, her voice shaky.

Easton could see that Sophia was really struggling. Instead of saying anything about it, he just held her close, comforting her until she finally fell asleep again.

Easton spotted her prescription meds on the nightstand. He knew Sophia must’ve taken her antidepressants before bed. Those had some sedatives mixed in.

He gently pulled the blanket up over her, then leaned down and kissed her forehead.

Then he headed to the study and called Ryan.

“Easton, you’re back in Jenston?” Ryan asked.

Easton kept it brief, just telling Ryan about Sophia’s situation and asking him to have a therapist drop by tomorrow morning

to talk to her.

He also told Ryan to keep it from May. May and Sophia were besties, and May was an open book: never good at keeping secrets. He worried she’d get too anxious and say something to upset Sophia.

There was no way Sophia would want anyone to know her depression was acting up again, let alone have everyone fussing over her while she was sick.

“Got it, Easton. Don’t worry, I’ll get it sorted first thing tomorrow,” Ryan replied.

“Okay,” Easton replied.

After hanging up, Easton went back to the master bedroom. He washed up, then got into bed and wrapped his arms around Sophia. Looking at the woman in his arms, he couldn’t help but feel a pang of heartache.

“Sophia, I’m back. Don’t worry, just sleep. I’ll be right here with you,” he whispered gently.

Last night, Sophia had taken a higher dose of her medication than usual, and with Easton staying by her side, she finally managed to sleep deeply and peacefully.

It had been ages since she’d slept so soundly.

When she woke up and saw Easton wasn’t beside her, she jumped out of bed, ready to go downstairs and look for him. But when she opened the door, she found Easton waiting for her at the doorway, holding a glass of milk.
