551.Chapter 551
Because of that video, Easton didn’t sleep at all that night. He just stayed by Sophia’s side, holding her in his arms, never leaving her for a moment.
Easton thought, ‘Where did things go wrong? Why did Sophia’s depression relapse?’
Nora arrived at Silvermoon Bay at seven in the morning.
Sophia was still asleep.
Easton got dressed and came downstairs.
Nora stood up and greeted Easton respectfully, “Good morning, Mr. Foster.”
Easton nodded and said, “Dr. Garrison, please, have a seat.”
Easton told Nora about Sophia’s unusual behavior last night, even confessing that he was afraid she might have suicidal thoughts.
Nora thought for a moment, then said, “Mr. Foster, after those days of counseling, I can see that Sophia’s issues aren’t that serious. Sure, she can’t let go of the past, but it’s not enough to make her want to end her life.”
Easton didn’t say a word.
Nora continued, “Has Sophia developed a habit of relaxing on the massage chair lately?”
Easton had seen the massage chair in the study before. He nodded and said, “Yeah, she got it when I was out of town for work. The staff said she’s been spending a lot of time in the study with it lately.
Sometimes, if she’s having trouble sleeping, she’ll just stay in the massage chair until she drifts off.”
Nora had studied abroad, not only majoring in psychology but also picking up hypnosis. She’d seen plenty of cutting-edge hypnosis devices in action.
“Mr. Foster, would you mind showing me the massage chair in the study?” Nora asked.
Easton asked one of the staff to show Nora upstairs.
When they entered the study, Nora sat down in the massage chair, turned it on, and used the same settings Sophia did before.
In less than a minute, Nora turned it off and stood up from the chair.
Easton asked, “Dr. Garrison, is something wrong?”
Nora nodded, walked over to the control panel, and glanced at it. She said, “Mr. Foster, I think you should get a professional to check out this massage chair.
“I just tried it with the same settings Sophia used, and it gives off some really intense vibrations.
“Most people wouldn’t pick up on it, but since I specialize in this area and have worked with similar high- frequency equipment, I could feel it immediately.”
Easton caught on right away.
He pulled out his phone and called Ryan, asking him to send a technician over as soon as possible.
Half an hour later, Ryan showed up at Silvermoon Bay with an engineer from the tech company.
“Easton, did you discover something crucial?” Ryan asked.
Easton gave a slight nod.
Fifteen minutes later, the engineer cracked open the massage chair’s control panel and found an unusual chip tucked inside.
Meanwhile, over at Roth residence, the engineer checked Edward’s massage chair, but there was nothing out of the ordinary: no such chip inside like the one in Sophia’s.
Easton and Ryan exchanged a look. This was no accident: it was deliberate.

551 Chapter 551
Whoever did this was downright ruthless, using cutting-edge tech to kill someone without anyone even
noticing.
After Ryan arranged for the engineer and Nora to leave, he came back to the study to talk things over with
Easton.
“Easton, looks like they’ve made their move. They went to all this trouble to hurt Sophia, just to provoke you,” Ryan said.
Easton pulled the ashtray closer, lit up a cigarette, and said, “I don’t think it’s that simple. We’re both their targets. Someone’s come back for payback.”
Ryan sat down across from Easton and asked, “You mean Stella?”
Easton didn’t deny it. He said, “Sophia and I have suspected before that June might actually be Stella.”
Ryan knew Easton had sent Fletcher’s people to Almere to investigate June and Mason, but he couldn’t understand why they’d suspect June was actually Stella.
In Jenston Prison, “George, you have a family member here to see you,” the guard called out.
