At Foster Group, Ryan burst into Easton’s office, looking serious. He said, “Easton, there’s been some movement at the Menolia branch. Vivian really doesn’t miss a beat. She’s teaming up with Mason, thinking they can just snatch the branch’s resources.”

Easton set down his pen and said, “Let them strut around for a few days. Tell the branch to bring in more people.

“When it’s time to close the net, I’ll use the chance to clean house and get rid of all the people Vivian and Allison have planted over the years.”

Ryan looked worried. He said, “But you built the Menolia branch from the ground up. If we let them keep messing around, even if we take it back, it’ll take ages to get it back on track.”

Easton’s eyes grew cold as he let out a cold laugh. He said, “I already moved all the important projects from the Menolia branch back to the Cedarica research center last year.

“Once we clean up the mess, it’ll actually be better for the branch’s future. Don’t worry.”

Ryan nodded and replied, “Got it. Dexter’s side is going smoothly. Mason really trusts him, and they’ve already confirmed Hayes Group will team up with Suncrest Holdings to buy Foster Group shares. Should we do anything on our end?”

Easton waved him off. He said, “No need. Sophia’s already on it. Let’s just watch and see what happens. Who knows, this might even give us more leverage.”

After Ryan left, Easton grabbed his phone and called Sophia. He asked, “Julian just messaged me. Did you start back at Crestview today?”

Sophia had barely stepped into the office when Easton’s call popped up. She replied, “When did Julian become your personal informant? I just walked in, and you’re already blowing up my phone.”

Easton’s lips curled into a smile. He said, “Everyone’s been worried about you, so we’re all keeping an eye on you.”

Sophia replied, “Yeah, I get it. Thanks for caring, but I’ve got work to do. We’ll talk tonight.”

“I’ll come pick you up after work. Let’s have dinner together,” Easton said.

Sophia smiled and said, “Okay.”

Emily walked into the office with a stack of files, her face lighting up when she saw Sophia safe and sound. She said, “Sophia, I’m so glad you’re okay.”

Sophia stood up and took Emily’s hand. She said, “Sorry for making you worry. Don’t worry, I’m all good now.”

Emily’s eyes were red as she nodded, then pulled Sophia into a hug.

Sophia patted her back and said, “If Paolo sees you like this, he’ll think I’m bullying you again.”

Emily froze for a second. She stammered, “S-Sophia, you…”

Sophia grinned and said, “Don’t think I don’t know what’s going on. Honestly, I’m really happy for you. Paolo’s a responsible guy, someone you can really count on. I’m genuinely happy for you, and I wish you both all the

best.”

Emily’s face turned red. “Thanks, Sophia,” she mumbled shyly.
