Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 78

78 Chapter 78

78.Chapter 78

Easton and Julian couldn’t make heads or tails of what Sophia and Stella were saying, but there was no way they could just let this slide.

The entire incident had been handed over to the traffic police to follow up, and one way or another, they would have to give Easton and Julian a proper explanation.

Julian helped Sophia toward the car.

Easton nodded at Gordon to get Stella in the car, and then strolled over to Julian and Sophia. “Mr. Roth, mind if I have a quick word with Sophia?”

Before Julian could say anything, Sophia just gave Easton a cold stare. “Mr. Foster, there’s nothing I want to talk about with you. You should leave.” With that, Sophia got into the car with Julian.

She caught Easton’s figure in the rearview mirror, standing behind their car, her mind swirling with complicated

emotions.

Sophia couldn’t stop replaying how he’d rushed in to save her at the gallery last time, and just now, the way concern flooded his eyes when he looked at her. If all those feelings were real, then maybe May was right

about him.

‘No, that’s impossible. I’m just imagining things,’ Sophia told herself.

Julian wasted no time getting Sophia to the hospital for a thorough check-up.

May was at a café talking business with a client when she realized her phone had gone missing. With no other way to reach Sophia, she borrowed her client’s phone and tried calling, but there was no answer.

It wasn’t until May got home that she finally got through to Sophia. “Wait, Stella crashed into your car?” May exclaimed, completely taken aback.

After hearing what happened that night, May was genuinely stunned by Sophia’s story. “How are you holding up? Did you get yourself checked at the hospital?” May asked, her voice laced with worry.

“Yeah, I went to the hospital. The traffic police came along, and I gave my statement. Don’t worry, I made sure to follow every single procedure,” Sophia replied.

May nodded, but then it suddenly hit her that her phone had vanished out of nowhere. “There’s no way any of this is just some freak coincidence or an accident,” May blurted, her suspicion deepening.

“Stella must’ve realized we caught her hooking up with that guy in the hotel parking lot. So she decided to go for broke-set you up in that crash, and even had someone swipe my phone.”

Sophia instantly made the same connection. Her own phone had disappeared from the accident scene. If that didn’t scream Stella’s handiwork, nothing did.

“Don’t stress,” May reassured her. “Your car’s got a dashcam, and there are highway cameras everywhere. Once the traffic cops pull up the recordings, they’ll get to the bottom of all of this.”

May had a point, but Sophia couldn’t shake this gut feeling that Stella was not the type to slip up that easily. There was no way she’d leave behind a trail for them to follow.

As soon as Gordon dropped Stella off, she was already fumbling for her phone, fingers trembling. She called Minnie, her voice sharp with nerves. “Is it done?”

“Chill,” Minnie purred, sounding totally in control. “If he doesn’t get the job done, he can forget about ever taking me to bed again.” Right then, Minnie was lounging in bed with some greasy guy draped all over her.

“Good. Make sure you wipe out every trace,” Stella pressed, her words clipped and urgent.

“Relax,” Minnie replied, not sounding worried at all.

Once Stella got confirmation from Minnie that everything was handled, she could breathe easy again. With all the surveillance wiped and the dashcam gone, Stella smirked to herself, knowing the traffic cops would be left totally clueless.

78 Chapter 78

Sophia had been chilling at home for the past two days, and today she finally came back to work. The receptionist told her they’d refused all the bouquets, but Nicolas somehow found out and instructed the florist to just drop them at the front desk.

And now, instead of just one bouquet every day, he was sending two.

Sophia was really done with Nicolas’s shameless persistence. She told the receptionist, “If he sends any more. flowers, just toss them out. I don’t want the lobby to turn into his personal flower market.”
