Chapter 109 The Principal’s Payday
Amelia nodded obediently. “Sure thing, Dean Miller.”
And so the real show begins.

When she walked into the principal’s office, Sophia was already there, sitting on the main sofa like she owned the place. Principal Fabian Evans was practically hovering over her, pouring her coffee with a fawning smile.
“Miss Sophia, if you don’t like the coffee, I have snacks?”
Sophia acted the part of the refined lady. “Principal Evans, regarding my sister’s… indiscretion. Please, be lenient. We have the Bennett family reputation to consider.”
Fabian had done his homework on the Bennetts and the Sterlings.
Before Amelia showed up, Sophia was the one engaged to Sebastian. Amelia was just some country girl they’d dragged back.
Remembering how respectful Ryan had been to Sophia, Fabian was convinced Sophia was the one who mattered.
Sophia was the future of the Sterling family. He couldn’t afford to cross her.
As for Amelia… Alexander was backing her, but Fabian felt the scales were tipping toward Sophia.
Sensing his hesitation, Sophia gave Amelia a smug look. “Just expel her quietly, Principal Evans. It’s a disgrace to the school. The Bennetts won’t hold it against you.”
“Are you sure about that, Miss Sophia?” Fabian’s eyes gleamed.
“Of course. You have my word.”
With Sophia’s promise, Fabian stood up, his face hardening into a stern mask as he turned to Amelia. “Amelia, since your own family agrees, I’m expelling you effective immediately. Go home and pack your things.”
Amelia didn’t move. She just laughed. “So, are you going to post the notice on the board, Principal Evans?”
Fabian blinked. “Of course. Amelia, you were foolish. If you wanted a top ten spot, the Bennetts could have just made a donation. Why resort to this?
“It’s too late now. The whole school knows. I have to expel you to keep the peace.”
“Hahaha!” Amelia burst out laughing. “So, Sophia turns in a blank paper, wires you ten million that night, and suddenly she’s in the top ten? And I’m the one you’re expelling?”
Fabian’s face went rigid. “You’re a cheater! There’s nothing funny about that!”
“I’m laughing at how pathetic you are!” Amelia’s expression flipped instantly. “You say I cheated? You got receipts?”

“Don’t be ridiculous. Look at your history. No one with your grades gets first place.”
Sophia dropped the act entirely, her real face showing through for a second. Fabian was taken aback by the sudden venom.
Amelia stayed cool. “If you’re so sure I’m a fraud, why don’t you and I retake the test right now? We can do it in public. Let’s see who’s actually failing.”
“Why would I waste my time retaking an exam with you?”
Sophia jumped to her feet, her face contorting. Her hands were shaking–she knew she couldn’t pass that test to save her life.
If she retook it, the ten million was a waste.
I can’t let that happen!
“Principal Evans, what are you waiting for? Get her out of here before this gets out of hand. Think of the Bennett name!”
Fabian agreed.
If word got out that he was taking bribes, the donors would have his head. He had to end this now.
“Dean Miller! Process the expulsion and have security escort her off campus!”
The Dean glared at Amelia. “Still standing there? You want me to call the guards?”
Amelia just shook her head. She scanned the room, then walked over and sat down on the sofa, crossing her legs comfortably.
“I can’t believe the education system produced such trash.” Amelia glanced at the school motto- Excellence in Education, Integrity in Action–hanging on the wall. “You guys are a real credit to the profession.”
Fabian’s face turned scarlet. He was a man of status, and he’d just been insulted by a teenage girl!
“Dean!” Fabian hissed. “Call a general assembly. Before she leaves, she’s going to stand in front of every student and confess her crimes!”
