Chapter 139 The Cafeteria Showdown
“Shh! See that new construction on the north side? Word is the Bennetts paid for the whole thing” Megan and Brittany were waiting at the gate, their eyes lighting up the moment they saw Sophia. “Sophia! You’re back! I knew Sebastian wouldn’t let that Amelia girl get you expelled!”
Sophia’s expression was stiff. She’d only gotten back because William spent a fortune and the Principal practically lived at Sterling HQ for three days begging.
She couldn’t tell her cronies that, so she just lied. “Sebastian loves me. Amelia is just a seat–warmer. I’m the one who’s going to be his wife.”
“I knew it! You’re the best!” Megan looked at Sophia like she was a god.
Brittany stayed in the back, silent and brooding, her eyes fixed on Sophia with an unreadable expression.
Sophia’s return didn’t cause a riot, people whispered for a bit and then moved on to the next drama.
But during lunch, Sophia decided to corner Yara Mill. She snatched the girl’s tray and threw it onto the floor with a loud clack.
“Yara, you’ve got some nerve showing your face here. You’re lucky those thugs didn’t finish the job.”
Sophia looked down at Yara with pure disgust, her voice dripping with mockery.
“Wait, what happened? Did we miss a show?”
Megan and a few other rich kids surrounded Yara, pushing her to the floor while looking curious.
“Oh! I promised my family I wouldn’t say anything. My mouth is just too fast!”
Sophia faked a look of shock. “My sister and Yara were grabbed by Derek Ellis. I was there when the cops found them. Yara was gang–banged by all of them. It was a miracle she survived.”
“Oh my god! So she’s basically a used–up rag now?”
“Gross. Look at those bruises on her. She probably liked it. I’ve lost my appetite.”
“I thought she was a genius. Turns out she’s just an escort. Why else would Derek grab her specifically? She’s probably a total slut on the side!”
The insults were like jagged blades cutting into Yara’s heart, leaving her breathless and helpless.
Yara shivered, her face pale behind her thick hair.
She gripped her skirt, her lips bitten white, but she didn’t say a word.
These rich girls loved targeting scholarship kids who couldn’t fight back; if she resisted, they’d only get more excited to break her.

Chapter 130 The Cafeteria “lowjown
It’s okay. Yara thought. Just a few more minutes. Once they’re bored, they’ll leave.
It’s always been like this.
In this school, money is the only thing that buys you a soul.
Except for Amelia, Amelia was the only person who didn’t care about her background and had risked everything to save her….
Suddenly, a lazy, smooth female voice drifted down from above, making Yara look up.
“If you girls are so bored you need to pick on someone, I’m happy to give you a real workout.”
Amelia was leaning against the second–floor railing, looking down at the crowd with a blindingly beautiful smile.
The bullying clique flinched, instinctively taking a step back from the ‘genius‘ in the white sundress.
Sophia glared up at her, mentally cursing. That b*tch… how can she still be smiling?
Megan, being the idiot of the group, decided to get brave. “Amelia, you were there too. Were you gang- banged? Tell us, was it better than your fiancé?”
“You really want to know?”
Amelia started walking down the stairs, her smile turning into something deeply unsettling.
Megan backed up a step, her eyes darting around the cafeteria; it was packed, so she figured Amelia wouldn’t dare hit her in public.
“A girl like you–used and filthy–actually thinks she can steal Sophia’s man? Have some self–respect.”
