Amelia’s icy voice stopped the guards in their tracks. They looked at each other, suddenly too terrified to move an inch.
“I’m your father! If I tell you to kneel, you kneel!”
“My father?” Amelia laughed like she’d just heard the joke of the century. “You only contributed three seconds of effort to my existence, and my so–called mother gave ten months. I didn’t choose to be born, so believe me. I don’t owe you a damn thing!”
Every word hit William like a bullet. He stood there, face bright red, literally unable to find a comeback.
“Agh!” Megan shrieked. “Amelia, you’re just a used–up rag! Derek Ellis already had his way with you! Once Sebastian finds out you’re damaged goods, you’re dead!”
She was losing her mind. She came here to humiliate Amelia, but the girl was treating the whole thing like a boring sitcom.
She’s a total psycho!
“Since you brought it up, I almost forgot.” Amelia stood up and started rolling up her sleeves as she walked toward Sophia.
“What… what are you doing?” Sophia felt the bad vibes and started backing away.
“What am I doing?” Amelia flashed a brilliant, eight–tooth grin. “Getting even!”
SLAP! SLAP! SLAP!
Amelia delivered a rapid–fire series of backhands to Sophia’s face. “I forgot to thank you for selling me out to the driver!”
Sophia’s cheeks puffed up instantly, and she burst into hysterical tears. “How can you frame me like this!” “Frame you?” Amelia pulled out her phone and displayed a screenshot. “Here’s the wire transfer to the driver’s account. You sent him abroad the next day, but did you really think I couldn’t find him?”
Sophia went pale. She didn’t think Amelia could track the offshore account. But the driver’s gone, Without his testimony, she can’t prove a thing!
“Mom! Amelia’s trying to kick me out! Just send me back to the village tomorrow!” Sophia wailed into Eudora’s chest.
“This is a curse! What did we do to deserve a monster like this?”
Eudora held Sophia, screaming insults at her biological daughter.
“You brat! You dare hit Sophia while I’m standing right here? You think I’m dead?” William shouted, but he was actually backing away as he spoke.

This girl is insane. I’m not getting within reach of those hands.
The Pearson family was watching with their jaws on the floor. Nigel whispered to Megan. “Why didn’t you tell me she was a literal cage fighter?!”
Nigel stood up, clearing his throat. “William, you guys clearly have some family stuff to work out. We’re gonna head out.”
The Pearson family bolted for the door as if the house was on fire.
The foyer went silent, leaving only the sound of Sophia’s pathetic whimpering.
“Shut up.” Amelia barked. “Your parents aren’t dead yet. Save the funeral wail for later.”
Sophia actually choked on her next sob, too scared to make another sound.
Amelia brushed a stray hair from her face, her tone casual. “You better pray that driver stays lost. Because if he comes back, you’re spending the rest of your life in a cell.”
It was a total bluff, of course.
Sending her to jail was too easy. Amelia wanted her name trashed and her life ruined before she finished her off.
The second Amelia went upstairs, William started smashing anything that wasn’t bolted down.
Where did she get that temper? She’s a nightmare. Even I’m scared of her.
“Dad… I need to tell you something.” Sophia wiped her eyes and walked over to William.
“What?” William snapped, still fuming.
