Chapter 165 The Knife–Wielder’s Silence
Sophia had only been released on a short bail after twenty–four hours in lockup. If she couldn’t get Yara to change her testimony, she’d be heading straight back to a cell!
Amelia had zero desire to help. She stepped around the girl and kept walking. “They say you reap what you sow. You brought this on yourself. You deserve it.”
‘Amelia!” Sophia went all in, slamming her forehead against the floor in a desperate kowtow. Blood began to seep from her skin, blurring her face.
‘I’m begging you! If something happens to me, the Bennett name will be dragged hrough the mud. I know you hate me, but for the sake of the Bennett name, please help me!”
Sophia’s display of misery was enough to break the heart of Eudora Bennett, who was just coming down the stairs. She rushed over to Sophia’s side.
‘Oh, my poor Sophia! What is this? Did that brat bully you again?”
Without waiting for an answer, Eudora turned her frown on Amelia. “You are a Bennett. Even if your sister did something wrong, she’s on her knees apologizing! Why can’t you just forgive her?”
Amelia found the logic hilarious. “So if she commits murder or arson, I’m supposed to just forgive her because we share a last name?”

Eudora huffed. “But nothing happened to you, did it? Why can’t you just help her? You’re being purely malicious!”
“She’s more than malicious–she’s a viper!”
Dylan Bennett stormed in from outside, his voice a roar as he attacked Amelia. “It was just a design contest! You knew that piece was yours, but you let Sophia enter it anyway. You framed her on purpose!”
“What!” Eudora screamed, her eyes flashing with rage as she turned back to Amelia. “You did this to her on purpose?”

Seeing Dylan attack her without a second thought, Amelia stopped pretending. “You’re right. I knew exactly whose design it was the moment she entered.”
Hearing the confession, Eudora clutched her forehead, pointing a trembling finger at Amelia. “How can you be so evil! She’s your sister!”
“If she didn’t spend every day being a thief, would we even be here?” Amelia mocked Sophia. “The “it–girl‘ of Kingsley? The ‘most talented lady‘? What a joke.”
Dylan helped Sophia up, his face cold. “If you get Yara Mill to change her story, you can keep your place in this family. If you don’t, then don’t blame me for being a cold brother.”
In her past life, Amelia had worshipped Dylan. He was a handsome A–list star, known for being a “clean” and decent man in the industry.
But later, she realized his mindless devotion to Sophia was borderline criminal. He often operated on the edge of the law and even hurt his fans just for Sophia’s sake.
And when Sophia eventually killed her on that yacht, Dylan had just stood there, watching with cold eyes like a silent executioner who’d handed over the knife!
“Brother?” Amelia scoffed. “Did you ever once treat me like a sister? When you came home for the holidays, did you ever bring me a gift? Hell, did you even acknowledge I existed?”
The barrage of questions left Dylan speechless.
When he’d talked to Sophia a few days ago, she’d said Amelia had changed. Dylan had thought, How much can a country bumpkin really change?
Then came the contest. Asa had declared that the stunning bracelet was Amelia’s work, and that she was the world–famous Phantom.
That was the moment he realized the “bumpkin” hadn’t changed—they had just never known who she really was.
“Why bring that up now? We’re talking about Sophia. Are you going to help or
not!”
William Bennett slammed his hand on the table. “It’s a minor problem! Why are

you begging this ungrateful girl? I refuse to believe the Bennetts can’t handle this on our own!”
“Dad…”
“That’s enough! I’ll handle it. Don’t beg her. I want to see how long she can keep acting this way!”
