Amelia pushed hard against Sebastian’s chest, trying to force him back.
It didn’t move him an inch.

Annoyed by her resistance, Sebastian broke the kiss–but instead of letting her go, he leaned forward and pinned her beneath him. With one hand, he trapped both of her wrists above her head.
Amelia’s heart jolted.
“Sebastian–you’re drunk!”
The room was almost completely dark. Only a thin bear of moonlight slipped through the gap in the
curtains.
In that faint light, his eyes looked dangerously bright.
He stared at her for a second before gripping her delicate chin.
Then the kisses came again.
Fast. Heavy. Relentless.
They rained down like a storm.
The kiss was long, fierce, and utterly dominating.
A strange sensation Amelia had never felt before flooded through her body. Her limbs softened, strength draining away until she felt boneless beneath him.
A soft, helpless whimper slipped from her lips–almost like a kitten’s cry.
The sound was dangerously seductive.
Truthfully, the alcohol in Sebastian’s system wasn’t nearly enough to make him lose control.
But earlier that evening, when he realized Amelia was sleeping in their future bedroom…
Something inside him had ignited.
A heat that refused to go away.
“Sebastian… you can’t…”
Amelia struggled with the last thread of rationality she ad left.
Sebastian suddenly froze.
After a long second, he slowly released her wrists,
Amelia gasped the moment the pressure lifted, dragging in mouthfuls of fresh air like someone who had nearly drowned.
Her face was burning.

“H–Hey! What are you doing? We’re not even married yet!”
Blushing furiously, she glared at him and pushed his shoulder.
“That kind of… activity before marriage is strictly forbidden!”
Sebastian let out a low chuckle.
His long fingers reached out and pinched her flushed cheek gently. His voice softened, hoarse and dangerously tender.
“Sorry, Amelia. I’ve had a little too much to drink tonight.”
The excuse was terrible.
Sebastian himself knew it.
The thing intoxicating him tonight wasn’t alcohol.
It was Amelia.
Sweet. Warm. Irresistible.
Amelia stared at him, utterly speechless.

Sebastian had ruled the business world for years. No one dared force drinks on him at banquets–and even when he did drink, when had he ever truly gotten drunk?
“You… you should get up first…”
She pushed him again.
Sebastian gave a quiet grunt and reluctantly rolled off the bed.
“I’ll sleep in the guest room,”
His voice was still rough as he said it. Then he turned and walked straight out of the bedroom.
The door clicked shut,
And strangely…
Amelia suddenly felt a little empty,
She buried her face in the pillow and scolded herself.
“Amelia, get a grip! He’s your benefactor. Don’t start looking at him with those kinds of thoughts!”
After mentally berating herself, she pulled the blanket over her head.
Within minutes, she was fast asleep.
Sebastian, however, wasn’t so lucky.
The fire Amelia had stirred up refused to fade.

He stood under an icy shower for nearly half an hour before the heat in his body finally cooled down.
When he stepped out of the bathroom, he quietly opened the bedroom door a crack.
The girl on the bed hadn’t moved.
Soft,
ready breathing filled the room.
Sebastian didn’t dare walk in.
He knew himself too well.
If he stepped inside and lost control again…”
He might scare Amelia away.
And that was the last thing he wanted.
Alfred was right.
He had to restrain himself.
Amelia had only just started getting close to him.
He couldn’t risk losing her again.
Dawn had barely begun to brighten the sky when Amelia slowly woke up.
Her phone buzzed on the nightstand.
A message from Sebastian.
He had already left for a morning meeting. The text was brief and direct–as always.
“I arranged a driver. He’ll take you to the Sterling residence.”
Amelia got dressed and headed downstairs.
Outside the villa, a sleek black Bentley waited at the curb.
The driver immediately stepped out and opened the door with a polite smile.
“Amelia,” he said respectfully, “Mr. Sterling asked me to be your personal driver from now on. Please.”
Amelia opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something,
But in the end, she held it back.
Grandma’s checkup came first.
Everything else could wait.
When the Bentley pulled up at the Sterling family’s old residence, something surprising happened.

Even Vanessa–who had once treated Amelia like dirt–rowned and stepped aside the moment she saw her.
As if Amelia were some terrifying force of nature.
Fine by her.
Amelia walked straight inside.
After a full examination, Amelia confirmed that the ethanol in Eleanor’s body had completely cleared out.
She carefully removed the acupuncture needles and smiled.
“Grandma, your recovery is going very well. Give it about another week. Once the surgical wound finishes healing, you’ll be able to get out of bed.”
Eleanor’s face lit up with a warm, grandmotherly smile.
