Chapter 193 The Same Old Tricks
Amelia was humming a tune as she walked back into the Bennett estate. Sophia stomped over in her heels and, without a word, swung a hard slap at her face.
“You b*tch! You definitely set me up, didn’t you?!”
Amelia effortlessly caught her wrist mid–swing and mocked, “What did I do?”
The veins on Sophia’s forehead popped in rage. “You deliberately let that psycho out to come after me!”
“Oh, so you were the one who got covered in sh*t at school today? I was wondering why the whole place smelled so bad.” Saying that, Amelia threw off her hand in disgust and took several steps back. “Did you even shower? You reek.”
“I scrubbed myself for three hours! There’s no way I still smell!”
Sophia claimed she didn’t smell, but she subconsciously lifted her arm to take a whiff. Did she really still stink?
Watching her ridiculous reaction, Amelia burst into a hysterical fit of laughter. “Hahaha! You actually sniffed yourself! That’s hilarious!”
Realizing she’d been played, Sophia’s face darkened instantly. “Ah! You b*tch, I’m going to kill you!”
“Sophia, what’s wrong?”
Dylan was standing at the top of the stairs. Hearing her fourth brother’s voice, Sophia, who was about to lunge at Amelia, dramatically threw herself to the floor. She purposely slammed her arm against the hardwood and let out a painful cry.
“Ow, it hurts!”
“Sophia, are you okay?” Dylan hurried down the stairs in a panic. He gently helped the fragile- looking Sophia up, carefully inspecting the scrape on her elbow. “Does it hurt?”
Sophia’s eyes reddened, tears welling up perfectly without falling. Her voice was timid yet manipulative. “Dylan, don’t blame Amelia. She didn’t mean it.”
Amelia’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
I can’t believe we’re still doing this. Is she still pulling the same tired victim card to frame me? Does she think Dylan is a complete idiot? Does she really think using the exact same trick on different guys actually
works?

Clearly, it did! Because Dylan didn’t have half a brain cell.
When Dylan looked at Amelia, his gentle gaze was instantly replaced by utter disgust. “When are you going to stop being so vicious? Did you set up that psycho woman at school?”
“What psycho woman? I don’t know what you’re talking about. I wasn’t at school this afternoon.”
Amelia smirked. She really hadn’t been at school, but she knew exactly how Sophia got covered in sh*t.
After all, she was the one who orchestrated the whole thing for her.
Gaslighting that crazy lady into believing Sophia was the mastermind behind her son’s prison sentence wasn’t exactly a walk in the park!
“You weren’t at school? Where else could you be?” Dylan’s eyes were ice cold. “If you don’t have an alibi, then you’re definitely the one who did it!”
“Amelia came to the hospital to bring me food. Do you have a problem with that?”
Alexander, dressed in a hospital gown and leaning on a crutch, slowly walked into the foyer with Julian supporting him. Seeing the two of them ganging up on Amelia made his blood boil. “You two are always looking for excuses to pick on Amelia. Do you think I’m dead?”
“Alexander, when did you get back…” Sophia shrank behind Dylan in fear.
Alexander shot a sharp glare at her cowering figure and sneered, “If I didn’t come back, how would I know you were constantly targeting Amelia?”
“Alexander, that vicious woman Amelia just pushed Sophia! I saw it with my own eyes!” Dylan immediately rushed to her defense.
He couldn’t figure it out. Why was his oldest brother suddenly taking Amelia’s side? They had both despised her just as much before.
It was an unspoken rule between them: they only acknowledged Sophia as their one and only sister.
Alexander had rushed back from the hospital specifically to back Amelia up, and his body was still weak. He slammed his crutch hard against the floor and snapped, “What you see isn’t always the truth. Some people are natural–born actors. They can put on a better show than you
ever could.”
Dylan was completely lost. He looked at the pitiful Sophia, then at Amelia, and immediately pointed his finger at her. “It’s all your fault! You were doing just fine in the sticks. Why did you
