Chapter 25 She Is Our Real Sister
Amelia’s patience finally snapped.
She yanked her hand free.
“Get lost.”
Her voice was sharp as ice.
“Amelia!”
Julian stormed out of his car, face dark with rage.
He had come to pick up Sophia, but what he saw at the hall entrance froze him in disbelief.
Alexander–kneeling in the dirt before Amelia.
His jaw tightened as fury surged.

“You’ve done it again, haven’t you?” Julian shouted, his voice shaking. “You tricked Alexander into kneeling, didn’t you, you vicious woman?”
He lunged forward, roughly trying to lift Alexander off the ground.
“Julian! Don’t you dare be harsh with Amelia!” Alexander’s voice was calm but laced with guilt, his eyes still locked on Amelia. “This… all of this is my choice. None of it has to do with her.”
Julian froze for a split second.
His mind spun.
Alexander had been acting strangely ever since that accident at the hospital–the chair had hit his head.
He had snapped at Sophia, stopped giving her the fifty thousand a month allowance, and now… kneeling in public before Amelia?
Julian’s anger twisted into a deep, burning resentment,
“Did you threaten him with–what, suicide this time?” Julian hissed, his teeth gritting. “Tell me, what did you do?”
Amelia, clearly unimpressed, tilted her head and gave him a cold, dismissive look,
“Julian,” she said slowly, venom in every word, “did you skip elementary school, or are you just too deaf to understand human speech?”
Julian opened his mouth to argue,
“I’m warning you–get out of my way!”
Amelia stepped forward, brushing past him with a deliberate nudge to his shoulder.
“I’m terrified of giant idiots,” she quipped with perfect deadpan. “You just happen to be one.”
A deep rumble cut through the air–a sleek black Bentley rolled to a stop right in front of her.

Without hesitation, Amelia flipped her hair back and slit into the driver’s seat.
The Bentley roared to life, the engine growling like a predator. In seconds, it was gone, leaving a cloud of exhaust that made Julian cough violently.
“Cough, cough!” he sputtered, waving the smoke away.lexander! Look at that! She just got into a car worth millions! She couldn’t possibly have earned that… unless she–she sold herself!”
“Shut up!” Alexander barked, his face darkening like a storm cloud.
Julian, oblivious to the tension, continued.
“Sophia treats you well, yet you snap at her constantly! And Amelia… she’s selling herself for money, and you’re defending her?!”
Before Julian could finish, Alexander’s fist shot out.
BAM!
A perfect punch landed squarely across Julian’s cheek, sending him sprawling to the ground.
“From now on,” Alexander growled, his eyes cold as steel “you will not speak ill of Amelia ever again. She is our real sister!”
And with that, Alexander turned on his heel and sprinted after Amelia.
Julian scrambled to his feet, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
His face was a livid shade of dark red, fury and humiliation burning through him.
He spat to the side, gritting his teeth.
“Fine, Amelia,” he muttered under his breath, voice dripping with venom. “No matter what trick you used to win Alexander over, I swear… I will not let you destroy the Bennett family!”
Amelia sat back in the car, mid–thought, when a sudden sneeze broke the silence.
“Ah–choo!”
No prizes for guessing–Julian was probably cursing her for it again.
Her phone buzzed. She glanced at the screen and froze for a split second.
Sebastian calling? Now? What could he possibly want?
She answered. Ryan’s voice came through, sharp and urgent.
“Amelia! You need to get to The Imperial Lounge–now Two women are trying to get Mr. Sterling drunk.”
Drunk? Shouldn’t this be a PR problem for Sterling Group, no, her?
Ryan’s tone spiked with desperation. “Mr. Sterling’s been overdoing it with these business dinners. His stomach can’t handle much, and I can’t stop him. Ameli… you’re his fiancée. You need to intervene.”
Amelia smirked faintly. “On my way.”
