Chapter 43 Terms of the Surrender
She was back today to turn the entire Bennett household upside down.
William was staggered by Amelia’s sudden violence. He screamed at the other servants, “Seize her! What is wrong with you people!”
The rest of the staff rushed forward, brandishing their wooden canes.
Amelia cracked her knuckles and rolled her neck. She tore a slit in her designer skirt up to her thigh and let out a bloodthirsty grin.
‘I haven’t had a good workout in a while. I’m going to pay you back for every bruise you gave me, one by
one!”
She leveled the first man with a kick to the gut before blurring behind the group. A single punch to the back of a servant’s head sent him into instant unconsciousness.
Her moves were surgical–fast, precise, and brutal. In seconds, the yard was a mess of groaning bodies.
Watching the guards littering the ground, William actually started to back away. This girl was a savage; she was a terrorist in heels!
She… she’s a killer…”
Sophia was white as a sheet, trembling as she shrank back behind her mother.
This was terrifying. Amelia was a monster!
William looked at his fallen staff, still pointing a shaky finger at her. “You brat! What the hell do you want?!”
Amelia popped a lollipop out of her pocket, tore off the wrapper, and slid it into her mouth.
The sugar hit gave her a rush of calm.
She stepped over a groaning servant and walked toward William with a purposeful stride.
If you want a favor, you should learn to ask nicely. Did you really think I was still the girl you could push
around?”
She glanced at Sophia, who was shivering behind Eudora, and smirked. “You brought me here because you want the posts deleted, right? Fine. Let’s talk terms.”
Ignoring their hateful glares, Amelia walked right into the villa and made herself comfortable on the living
room sofa.
William followed her in, his face purple with rage. “You little animal! You think you can just barge in here and act like you own the place?”
“Mr. Bennett, let’s be clear: you kidnapped me and brought me here, remember?” Amelia smiled, showing her white teeth around the lollipop.

William choked on his words When he locked eyes with her, he found himself instinctively backing down.
Feeling his patriarchal authority threatened, he hissed.
“You think I can’t touch you? I could kill you right here and no one would ever know!”
“Oh? And after I’m dead, your stock hits zero. By the time Alexander gets back, the Bennett Group is a tombstone. Honestly, it sounds like a fair trade to me.”
Amelia leaned back on the sofa, completely unbothered. Her composure was driving William toward a heart attack.
He clutched his chest and collapsed into an armchair.
Eudora rushed to his side, rubbing his back to help him breathe. She shot a look of pure loathing at Amelia. “Are you trying to kill your father? If the family falls, what do you gain? Why can’t you just be more like Sophia and act like a proper lady?”
Always the same script.
In her past life, Eudora compared them every day, always telling Amelia she was garbage compared to Sophia.
Amelia once intentionally scored perfect marks on an exam, only to have Eudora whip her for thirty minutes with a vine.
The reason? Sophia had come in second and been teased by her classmates. Eudora decided Amelia must have cheated to humiliate her sister.
That night, Amelia’s legs were so swollen she couldn’t walk. She ran a fever so high she nearly died.
From that day on, she knew Eudora only had eyes for Sophia. Biological daughter or not, they were just strangers with the same blood.
Amelia looked at Eudora’s face–so similar to her own–and let out a mocking laugh.
“Did you ever give me the chance to be a ‘lady‘? You fed me scraps, made me sleep in a kennel, and tortured me. Did you ever once remember I was your daughter?”
Eudora didn’t show a hint of remorse; she just saw it as more proof of Amelia’s insolence.
