Chapter 50 A Masterpiece Born of Theft
She planned to transfer all 30% to Sebastian’s name.
That way, William could have a million schemes, and he’d still never get them back from a Sterling.
“He should be back in two days. If you’re bored, I carr book you a flight to see him…”
“No need. I was just asking.”
Amelia wasn’t bored; school was starting, and she had several “surprises” waiting for Sophia.
Ping!
A message arrived from her contact “DN“.
‘Miss Bennett, there’s a gala at The Imperial Lounge tonight. You absolutely have to be there.”
Amelia suddenly remembered. In her past life, Sophia had coerced several sketches out of her, claiming hat’since Amelia was blind, the art was useless to her.
Later, Amelia never saw a dime, but she heard Sophia had become a “master designer.”
Though she was blind back then, she overheard the servants whispering that Sophia’s breakout hit was actually Amelia’s work!
Sophia was like a fly drawn to a gala; wherever the elite gathered, she was there to rub shoulders.
Amelia smiled and typed back, “I’ll be there.”
Her fingers tightened around her phone, her knuckles turning white as her hatred flared.
Sophia, you want to be famous? I’ll make you famous.”
Julian had lost Amelia’s car and returned to the villa, looking defeated.
As he walked in, he heard Sophia sobbing to Lucas about her “misery.”
‘Lucas, Amelia made Julian hit me… I don’t care about the pain, but she took thirty percent of the family business! She’s pure evil!”
Lucas was fuming, his mouth full of curses. “She’s an ungrateful brat! We should have let her stay lost. I wish I’d smothered her in the cradle!”
Julian listened to the vile insults, his fists clenching until his knuckles popped. He couldn’t take it anymore.
“Shut up!”
Julian’s roar silenced the room. He stared at Sophia with dark, hollow eyes. “You said you loved Amelia. Why are you stabbing her in the back the moment she’s gone?”

Finished
Sophia flinched, instinctively shrinking behind Lucas. She couldn’t understand why her brothers were suddenly turning on her.
In her mind, it was all Amelia’s fault. If Amelia just disappeared, she would be the beloved princess again.
“Julian. I’m just telling the truth. You were there today…”
As Julian was about to snap again, Lucas tried to play the peacemaker.
Julian, you used to love Sophia. How can you yell at her for that girl? I heard you whipped her today–it breaks my heart to see her like this.”
Julian’s brow furrowed.
Playing the victim was Sophia’s go–to move. No matter what happened, she always acted like the refined, innocent lady who could do no wrong.
If it hadn’t been for the head injury that triggered his awakening, he would still be trapped in her performance.
ulian knew that if he just said she was faking, they’d think he was crazy.
For now, he had to protect Amelia, pay for his sins, and hope she would recognize him as her brother
gain.
If she can’t handle a little whipping, she should think about the pain she caused Amelia–it was ten housand times worse!”
ulian didn’t even look at Sophia as he walked upstairs.
Sophia watched him go, her eyes full of confusion and fear.
Where did it go wrong? Why is he so cold to me suddenly?
Lucas, does Julian hate me now?” Sophia whimpered.
Lucas was a playboy with a thousand women, but he was fiercely protective of Sophia.
He comforted her softly. “Don’t cry. Julian is just stressed because of Amelia. Just focus on the gala at The Imperial Lounge. You need to look your best.”
At the mention of the gala, a smile finally returned to Sophia’s face.
She had commissioned a one–of–a–kind gown from a top designer. On the night of the gala, she was going to stun all of Kingsley.
Socialites, Amelia… she was going to crush them all under her heels!
A few days later.
