Chapter 71 Taking Food from the Grave

Sebastian was undeniably handsome, and since he was her fiancé, Amelia didn’t feel like she was losing anything in this exchange.
The kiss didn’t last long; it was a fleeting touch, light as a feather yet heavy with intent.
When Sebastian finally pulled back, his eyes remained fixed on her reddened lips, his thumb tracing the curve of her mouth with lingering heat.
Amelia still had her eyes squeezed shut, making Sebastian let out a soft, low chuckle.
You can open them now.”
Huff!”
Amelia snapped her eyes open and gasped for air.
She had literally been holding her breath the entire time.
Flushed, Amelia scrambled to the far side of the car. The sudden intimacy between them felt bizarre, like a hift in reality.
What? Are you regretting the partnership already?”
Seeing her huddled in the corner as if he were a predator, Sebastian asked with a cautious, almost vulnerable tone.
Amelia just shook her head, keeping her face turned toward the window.
Sebastian was baffled, but before he could press further, the driver pulled the car to a stop.
Mr. Sterling, we’ve reached the Business Registry Office.”
Amelia felt like she’d been granted a stay of execution. She bolted out of the car and called back to him, Sebastian, come on! Let’s get those shares transferred!”
Watching her flee in a panic, Sebastian pushed his glasses up his nose, a dark, playful smirk playing on his lips.
They entered the building, and within minutes, the 30% stake in the Bennett Group was officially under Sebastian Sterling’s name.
The moment they stepped out the front doors, William Bennett was waiting for them.
“You little b*tch! I knew you’d come here to sign away the company! You traitor! Tell me who did you give those shares to?!”
Ever since Amelia had tricked him out of the equity, William had been camping out at the office, waiting
to catch her.
And finally, his patience had paid off.

Amelia arched an eyebrow, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “The shares belonged to me. Why would I need your permission to do anything with them?”
“You! If you give those shares back right now, I’ll still be your father. I’ll even forgive the hell you’ve put us through!”
Amelia let out a cold, sharp laugh. She crossed her arms and mocked him without mercy. “William, you have quite an imagination. Did you ever stop to ask if I even wanted you as a father?”
The man’s delusion was truly unmatched.
“I am your father! My blood runs through your veins, you ungrateful brat!”
William was seeing red, the veins on his forehead bulging. He was so consumed by rage that he didn’t even notice the man standing behind Amelia.
In a fit of fury, he raised his hand to slap her across the face.
But his hand froze mid–air. A powerful grip clamped onto his wrist, the pressure so intense it felt like his bones were about to turn to dust.
“What low–life thinks they can—”
William turned to scream at the intruder, but the moment he locked eyes with the man, the color drained from his face and he nearly lost control of his bladder.
“M–Mr. Sterling… what are you doing here…”
Sebastian towered over him, his eyes behind the gold–rimmed glasses like chips of ice. He looked down at William with pure, aristocratic disdain, his very presence making the older man tremble.
How the hell is Sebastian Sterling here?!
Sebastian shoved the man’s hand away with disgust and narrowed his eyes. His voice sounded like a death knell
“Do I need to report my schedule to you, William? You’ve certainly grown a big ego lately.”
In Kingsley, the person who could demand an itinerary from Sebastian Sterling hadn’t been born vet
Though William was nearly fifty, he bowed his head like a servant before his future son–m–law
“Mr Sterling please that’s not what I meant
Then tell me what did you mean? Sebastian tucked his hands into his pockets, looking down at him with an arrogant, mocking uit of his head
William broke into a cold sweat, beads of moisture forming on his brow
“Amelia took quite a lot of shares from the company I was just worries about her safety Ethought it would be best if 1. as her father, kept them secure for her

His voice grew weaker as he spoke, sounding increasingly pathetic
A fifty–year–old man acting like a wounded child in front of Sebastian was a truly pathetic sight
