Chapter 70 Looting the Bennetts
Suddenly, a warm, large hand pulled Amelia into a firm embrace. Sebastian was officially over it.
“Stop bothering my fiancée.”
He hadn’t realized Phoebe was this much of a nuisance!
Touching and hugging his woman, playing the victim for sympathy… it was beyond annoying.
Amelia could practically smell the jealousy coming off him in waves.
“Sebastian, we were just talking.”
And Phoebe was a girl, after all. Was he really having this big of a reaction?
The man was the king of jealousy.
Phoebe stood before him, shrinking under his cold gaze. She nodded like a frightened mouse.

Sebastian opened the car door and ushered Amelia inside before shooting one last warning glance at Phoebe.
Phoebe trembled, thinking she was about to get a lecture, but Sebastian just got into the car without a word.
The threat in his eyes was unmistakable, though.
Only when the Bentley had disappeared did Phoebe dare to take a breath.
‘He’s terrifying! If Amelia marries him, he’s definitely going to be an abusive husband!”
No. She couldn’t let it happen. She had to save the Goddess from a lifetime of misery!
In the car, Amelia let out a sneeze. She had no idea that Phoebe was currently planning her “escape” from her “abusive” husband.
Inside the car, the silence was heavy. Sebastian had his eyes closed, still nursing his irritation.
Amelia thought about the shares in her bag. She turned to the driver. “Take us to the Business Registry Office.”
The driver replied, “Yes, Miss Bennett.”
Sebastian opened his eyes, a flicker of confusion in his gaze. He reached for her wrist and pulled her into his lap.
He wrapped a hot hand around her waist and tilted her chin up. “What are we doing there? I have plenty of companies; they’re all yours if you want them.”
He thought she wanted to start a business.

Finished
Amelia brushed his hand away and cupped his face. “I took thirty percent of the Bennett Group back a few days ago. I want to put them in your name.”
Sebastian arched an eyebrow. “And why is that?”
“Because I’m looting my family to pay for my fiance, obviously!”
Amelia’s eyes sparkled with mischief as she gave him a wicked, triumphant grin.
“You’re trying to bleed them dry?”
Sebastian reached out and flicked her nose with a finger.
His Amelia was sweet, but she was becoming very interesting.
Amelia snapped her fingers. “You’re smart. If they’re in my name, they’ll find a thousand ways to take them back But if they’re yours, it’s a different story.”
She let out a cold laugh. “Do they have the balls to take food from the Shadow King’s mouth?”
The Bennetts were ants compared to him. They’d tremble just hearing his name.
Once those shares were his, they wouldn’t dare breathe a word about them.
Realizing he was being used as a weapon, Sebastian’s expression was unreadable, but his grip on her waist ightened.
So you’re just using me, hm?”
Amelia acted shocked. “Sebastian, don’t be like that. I’m giving you thirty percent of a major corporation. How is that ‘using‘ you… ow!”
Sebastian gave her waist a sharp squeeze, making a jolt of electricity run up her spine.
Are you mad?”
Was he actually upset about being her “weapon“?
Sebastian took off his glasses, his dark eyes airing a playful, dangerous heat that made her skin crawl.
‘Sebastian… don’t smile like that. It’s creepy.”
He couldn’t manage a friendly smile, but he had this predatory one down to a science.
Sebastian caught her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. “You use me, and you don’t even offer a
sweetener?”
A sweetener?
Amelia blinked, not quite following his meaning.
