Cyrus sat on the sofa, legs crossed, resting his head on one hand in a relaxed, observant posture.

“I heard that Sophia Bennett is known for being a doting sister. Seeing you today, the rumors seem… exaggerated.”

Amelia immediately caught the cue and smiled. “Cyrus, looks can be deceiving. Some people are natural- porn actresses. It’s a shame she hasn’t tried Hollywood yet.”

The bodyguard in the black suit nodded, signaling another man to pin Sophia down. He pulled out an ink bad to take her prints.

William’s voice boomed from the stairs. The moment he saw Amelia, his small, beady eyes filled with pure oathing.

You ungrateful brat! Every time you show up, there’s trouble. What kind of stunt are you pulling now?”

Eudora followed behind him, her gaze heavy with resentment. “How much more do you want to destroy his family before you’re satisfied?”

Seeing her parents, Sophia’s eyes instantly welled with tears. “Mom, Dad! Amelia keeps saying I poisoned Master Edward Harrington! She’s goading Cyrus into bullying me!”

Sophia didn’t dare insult Cyrus directly, so she dumped all the blame onto Amelia.

Before letting his temper flare, William leaned m and whispered to the butler. Is Sebastian Sterling here?

The butler had overheard enough to know this was about Edward Harrington’s poisoning. As the eldest son, Cyrus wasn’t about to let it slide.

Amelia knew the thick–skinned Sophia would never confess. Villains don’t just admit to their crimes out of the goodness of their hearts.

She had come prepared.

On the way over, she had sent the coordinates to S, asking him to hack the Harrington kitchen’s security

feed.

Amelia pulled out her phone and hit play on the video for the entire room to see.

“Piper told you to wait in the kitchen, but you went out, grabbed something, came back in, and then rushed out again. What did you take, Sophia? Was it the weedkiller?”

Sophia knew there was a camera, but it only caught her pacing. The weedkiller hidden under her skirt shouldn’t have been visible.

Even if Amelia had the footage, it wasn’t a smoking gun!

After a brief internal struggle, Sophia gave a triumphant smirk. “I was bored in the kitchen and wanted to go for a walk. Is that a crime?”

William, convinced they lacked evidence, stood tall before Cyrus. “Cyrus, if you have no proof, I’ll have to ask you to leave! I’ll visit the old man another day!”
