Sophia, still clutching her swollen face, ran straight to Alexander. “Alexander, Amelia was beating up classmates and she even hit me!”
Alexander barely glanced at her. His eyes locked onto the pearl necklace around her neck.
“Where did you get that necklace?” His voice carried a dangerous edge.
“It… it was the one you gave me, right?”
Sophia’s eyes darted around guiltily.
She couldn’t admit she’d stolen it from his room!
When exactly did I say I was giving it to you?” Alexander’s face grew darker.
That necklace had been meant for Amelia. The fact that Sophia had stolen it made his blood boil.
‘Alexander, I…”
Before Sophia could finish, Alexander reached out and yanked the necklace clean off her neck.
Clatter!
Pearly white beads scattered everywhere, drawing gasps and eager gossip from the crowd.
Wasn’t her brother supposed to adore her? Didn’t he give her that necklace? Why did he just rip it off?”
‘So Sophia was lying the whole time!”
Countless insults and mocking laughter rained down on Sophia. Her face burned even hotter.
Amelia raised an eyebrow, shooting Alexander a surprised look.
What game were these two playing now? Tossing away a multi–million–dollar necklace like it was nothing. Must be nice to be that rich.
Seeing Oscar arrive, Brooke thought she had backup. “Principal, help! Amelia’s gone crazy–she’s trying to kill me!”
Alexander was the school’s largest shareholder. A bullying incident happening right under his nose was unacceptable.
Principal Oscar Harlan stepped forward immediately, his beady eyes scanning the half–naked girls on the ground before landing suspiciously on Amelia.
“Young lady, what deep grudge do you have with them to bully your classmates so viciously?”
Amelia blinked, then remembered the arrogant principal probably didn’t even know who she was. She put on a serious expression.

“Maybe you should ask what they did to me first, instead of assuming I’m the bully.”
Finished
“Brooke’s father is one of our major investors. She’s a good girl–why would she do anything terrible to you? Who are your parents? Call them right now!”
He wanted to see exactly whose daughter this arrogant girl was.
“Her guardian is me. What would you like to know, Principal?”
Alexander’s deep, magnetic voice came from behind. Principal Harlan trembled and turned around in fear.
No way… Alexander couldn’t possibly be related to this girl!
‘Mr. Bennett, you mean this student is…”
‘Exactly. She’s my little sister. Principal Harlan, don’t you watch the news?”
Alexander sounded thoroughly annoyed. Oscar broke into a cold sweat, wiping his forehead as he bowed repeatedly.
‘Mr. Bennett, I’m so sorry! Please don’t hold it against me!”
True to his years of political maneuvering, Oscar turned and bowed deeply to Amelia as well.
‘Miss Bennett, I apologize profusely. I had no idea you were Mr. Bennett’s sister. Please forgive me.”
Amelia swung the scissors casually. “You know, Principal, sometimes I really admire you.”
Oscar beamed, waiting for the compliment.
Then Amelia dropped the bomb. “It takes real talent to lick your way into running an elite university like this. Truly impressive.”
This was Kingsley’s top private academy–tuition alone cost a fortune.
But money opened doors. Nouveau riche parents donated buildings, renovations, anything to get their kids in.
Oscar’s face twisted, but with Alexander standing right there, he could only force a painful smile.
“You’re absolutely right, Miss Bennett. Heh heh.”
Alexander stepped past Oscar, gently took the scissors from Amelia’s hand, and said worriedly. “Amelia, these are dangerous. Next time you run into trash like this, just call me. Don’t hurt yourself.”
