Chapter 88 Alexander Takes Charge
“You want my sister expelled?” Alexander looked down at Brooke like she was already dead.
“Does the Ellis family have real power in Kingsley?” He sneered.
Oscar wiped his sweat and glanced at the ridiculous girl. “Mr. Bennett, the Ellises just made some money in coal. They’re nothing compared to you.”
Just another coal–money family. The school had plenty. Losing one wouldn’t matter.
Alexander snorted coldly. “Starting now, I don’t want to see her on campus again.”
And the entire Ellis family could forget about doing business in Kingsley.
Yes, sir!” Oscar immediately told his assistant, “Expel Brooke Ellis and return every penny of their donations.”
‘Mr. Bennett, the school opening ceremony is about to start. Shall we head inside?”
Alexander stared at Brooke’s numb, despairing face, finally nodded in satisfaction, and strode into the school.
Behind him, Chloe stamped her foot. “Sophia, what’s wrong with your brother? Why did he rip your necklace off?”
Megan had already picked up the scattered pearls and held them out. “Sophia, most of them are here…”
‘It’s broken! Why would I want them now?!”
Sophia slapped the pearls away, her eyes blazing with hatred as she stared in the direction Amelia had
gone.
‘Amelia! It’s all that bitch’s fault! She was fine rotting away in the countryside. Why did she have to come back and ruin everything?!”
Sophia was consumed with jealousy. She hated Amelia for taking what was hers–but she had conveniently forgotten that Amelia was the real Bennett daughter.
Alexander went to sign the paperwork for Amelia and noticed “Sebastian Sterling” already written in the guardian slot.
He frowned at Oscar. “Sebastian came too?”
The principal looked equally confused. “We just got back from outside. No one told me Mr. Sterling was
here.”
If Sebastian Sterling had shown up, it would have been huge news. How could he have missed it?
Alexander stared at the signature, deep in thought. Sebastian had definitely been here–but for some

reason, he hadn’t shown himself.
Finished
Meanwhile, Amelia skipped the opening ceremony entirely. She found a quiet spot, sat down obediently, and waited for her guardian Sebastian to arrive and sign.
Instead of Sebastian, an unwelcome guest showed up.
“Wow, who’s this little fairy? How come I’ve never seen you around school before?”
The greasy, sleazy voice made Amelia look up. A truly repulsive face stared back–beady eyes, oily dark skin, and a massive mole on his chin.
She recognized him immediately: Derek Ellis, the school’s notorious troublemaker and Brooke’s older brother.
‘Disgusting.” Amelia sighed.
You b*tch! What did you say?” Derek slammed his foot on the chair.
He had heard his sister got beaten up by some girl named Amelia at the gate but couldn’t find her during the ceremony.
So he’d brought two lackeys to hunt her down.
Amelia popped a lollipop in her mouth. “Are you deaf? I said you standing here is disgusting. Get lost.”
His lackeys‘ eyes widened. The last girl who had talked to Derek like that had ended up sold off to some shady place.
‘So you’re the feisty little bitch who messed with my sister at the gate?”
Derek leaned down, shoving his revolting face right into hers and flashing a set of yellow, smoke–stained
teeth.
His breath made Amelia’s stomach turn.
Without hesitation, she slapped him across the face.
Smack!
Derek spun around from the force before crashing to the ground.
‘Derek! You okay?!”
“You little where! You actually hit our boss!”
Amelia stood up calmly, ready to leave. “You were the one being disgusting. Now scram.”
She really didn’t feel like fighting today.
Her soft palm was red from hitting that filthy face. She wanted to wash it with disinfectant.
