Sebastian gripped her waist with one hand and hooked his thumb under her chin, forcing her to meet his
gaze.
“Derek Ellis cornered you and you didn’t think to call me? Why?”
His brow was still knitted, but his voice had lost its sharp edge, sounding more frustrated than angry.
It finally clicked. Sebastian wasn’t throwing a tantrum–he was pissed that she hadn’t reached out for help.
Amelia felt a surge of indignation.
“I wasn’t even sure if you were back in Kingsley yet! How was I supposed to know?”
Besides, everything went down so fast she barely had a second to breathe, let alone grab her phone.
This guy just gets back and immediately starts breathing down her neck? Unbelievable.
She pouted, her eyes flashing with resentment, her cheeks puffed out like a frustrated squirrel.
Sebastian couldn’t resist; he reached out and poked her puffed–out cheek.
A tiny ‘pssh‘ sound escaped her lips as the air hissed out.
Seeing her look so ridiculous instantly cleared the fog in his chest. All his frustration just… evaporated.
He went in for a second poke, but Amelia slapped his hand away and sat up straight, rolling her eyes hard.
“Stop it! I’m actually mad here. Don’t touch me.”
She huffed, leaning against the car door with her arms crossed, widening her eyes to prove just how ‘furious‘ she was.
Sebastian gave a helpless sigh and pulled out his phone, dialing Ryan, “I want the Ellis family erased from Kingsley. Now.”
Anyone who messed with his girl had to learn that actions have consequences.
Once he hung up, he leaned over and dropped his head onto Amelia’s lap.
Amelia scoffed, trying to shove him off with a sarcastic jab, “If you’re that tired, go sleep in a bed. Get off me!”
“Just give me a minute, Amelia. I haven’t slept in days.”
The words had barely left his mouth before he grabbed her hand, tucked it against his chest, and passed
out.
The sight of the dark circles under his eyes and his instant surrender to sleep made the insults die in her throat.

Chapter 91 Pick Up the Phone
Watching him sleep so peacefully, Amelia felt a sudden pang of sympathy.

In her past life, she’d barely known the man. She thought he was just some moody, stoic prick who always looked like the world owed him a billion dollars.
Only now, being this close to him, did she see the grind behind the power–and the softness he kept hidden.
Her eyes caught a tiny mole on the web of his hand. She leaned in, squinting at it.
“Wait, why does that look so familiar?”
She had a hazy memory of saving some brat in the Amazon Rainforest. It had cost her a priceless herb, and she’d been so pissed she’d bitten the kid’s hand right in that spot.
She remembered vividly–that kid had a mole exactly like this.
Could it be…
“No, impossible.”
Sebastian was the Sterling heir; there was zero reason for him to be in a hellhole like that rainforest.
She killed the thought before it could even take root.
Back at school, Derek’s ‘tied–to–a–tree‘ photos were blowing up the forums. Students were pouring out of the festival, eager to get a front–row seat to the rich douchebag’s public shaming.
Under a barrage of mocking stares and camera flashes, campus security finally cut him down.
Dick–Derek’s old man–nearly blew a gasket when he heard his son was in trouble. He hauled ass to the school, only to find his boy bloodied and trending as a national joke.
He stormed into the principal’s office, smashing a vase in a blind rage.
“What do I pay you people for? I want that Amelia girl on her knees apologizing to my son right this
second!”
Oscar stayed calm, a faint, unimpressed smirk playing on his lips.
“Mr. Ellis, Amelia is a Bennett. Her brother, Alexander, is practically our primary benefactor. You’re asking me to commit professional suicide.”
Dick slammed the desk, his face contorting into an ugly mask of fury.
“Who gives a damn about the Bennetts? Even if they were royalty, they’d still have to buy their coal from
