Chapter 92 The End of the Ellis Line

Ryan’s expression turned lethal. He let out a cold, sharp laugh, “Your coal mines are being raided for manslaughter as we speak. The Feds are already on their way. And Derek? We’ve got enough on him for sexual assault and coercion to put him away for life. The Ellis family is history.”
Dick froze. The color drained from his face as sweat started to bead on his forehead, his breath hitching.
“No… that’s a lie… you’re bluffing…”
His phone started screaming. He fumbled it out, his fingers shaking so hard he almost dropped it. It was his CFO.
“Boss! The Feds just hit the office! They’re seizing everything! It’s a bloodbath!”
Dick’s knees buckled. He thudded onto the floor in front of Ryan, sobbing like a terrified toddler. “Ryan, please! I never touched Mr. Sterling! You can’t do this to us!”
The company was gone. The Ellis name was trash.
Ryan kicked the man’s hand away with a look of pure loathing. “Scum like you belongs in a cage.”
A swarm of officers burst in, cuffing father and son before dragging them out to the waiting cruisers.
Sophia was watching the commotion by the teaching block, wondering why the hell there were so many cops, when she spotted Ryan. She practically sprinted over.
“Ryan! Hey! Is Mr. Sterling here?”
If he was on campus, she had to make sure she was the first thing he saw.
Ryan was already pissed about being stuck on ‘trash–removal duty,‘ and seeing a fake like Sophia just made it worse.
But he kept it civil for the sake of the Bennett name, “Mr. Sterling isn’t here. I’m on a clock, Sophia. Excuse
me.”
Oscar watched Sophia with a calculating frown.
Wait, I thought Sebastian was engaged to Amelia? What’s Sophia’s angle?
He didn’t realize that this tiny interaction had just caused a massive misunderstanding about Sophia’s
status.
Sophia watched Ryan walk away and stomped her foot, fuming.
Who does that assistant think he is? Once I’m Mrs. Sterling, he’s the first one I’m firing.
“Sophia! Oh my god, look!”
Brittany ran up, shoving her phone in Sophia’s face, “I saw Amelia getting into a luxury car! She’s definitely got a sugar daddy. Look at that ride!”

Sophia stared at the photo, a nasty grin spreading across her face.
“Oh, Amelia… you just couldn’t help yourself, could you? You’re walking right into this.”
Wait. That Bentley looked familiar.
That’s Sebastian’s car.
That Bentley was a one–of–a–kind custom. There were only three in Kingsley, and each had distinct details.
She’d spent months studying everything about him; she knew that car better than her own.
Her nails dug into her phone screen, leaving deep gouges in the protector.
“You total slut, Amelia. You actually made it into his bed already? How pathetic.”
If Amelia hadn’t come back, that seat in the Sterling family would have been hers.
That bitch didn’t just take her life; she was stealing her man.
Sophia’s face turned into a mask of pure rage, her eyes burning with enough spite to start a fire.
Brittany backed away, spooked. “Sophia? You okay? You look… scary.”
“I’m fine!” Sophia snapped, forwarding the photo to her phone. “This time, I’m going to make sure she never shows her face in this town again.”
Amelia was stuck playing tourist for the entire afternoon because Sebastian was dead to the world. The driver said he needed the rest, so they just did laps around Kingsley.
Finally, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Sebastian stirred.
Amelia was glaring at him, her stomach letting out a growl so‘ loud it was embarrassing.
“Nice of you to join us, Mr. CEO,” she snapped.
“Not bad. Your lap’s a bit bony, though. You need to put on some weight.”
Sebastian watched her blow up with a smirk, clearly loving every second of it.
Amelia felt her blood pressure spiking. She took a few long, slow breaths.
Stay calm. If I have a stroke, no one wins.
“I’m freaking starving. Feed me!” She was beyond hangry.
Sebastian nodded. “Let’s see what the cook has going at the manor.”
