Chapter 99 The Exam Sabotage
Finished
“You’re pathetic, Brittany. You did all that for Sophia and she dropped you like a hot potato. Was it worth it?”
Brittany just sobbed, “Why? Why is this happening?!”
Amelia knew that even if they made up, the trust was gone. The bridge was burnt.
She watched the girl cry for a moment, but she felt… nothing. Just a hollow spot where her empathy used to be.
She shook off the feeling and looked at Glenn. “Is Sebastian really going to sue?”
Glenn looked a bit uncomfortable. “Brittany’s family is going to be erased from Kingsley by the end of the week.”
Ah… that feels better.
The hollow spot in her chest suddenly felt a lot warmer.
The other students scattered, terrified of being next on the Sterling hit list.
‘See that, Brittany? Sophia was willing to let you take the fall for her.”
Amelia was still smiling, but it made Brittany shiver. “What… what do you want from me?”
Amelia stretched, looking bored. “Me? Nothing. But if you want your family to survive the week, you better figure out how to make it right.”
‘Class is starting. I’m going to go be an honor student now!”
Amelia walked out of the office, humming a little tune on her way to the building.
Glenn hurried to catch up. “Amelia, are you really not going to tell Seb about this?”
Amelia stopped and looked at him like he was an idiot. “You think he doesn’t already know?”
He’s a Sterling. How can he be this naive?
Glenn nodded slowly, a lightbulb going off. He looked back at the security room and then hurried to class.
The morning drama had the principal in a tailspin. He’d screamed at the security team and ordered the photos down, then called an emergency staff meeting to ban the rumors.
The students got the hint. Most of them were from wealthy families; they knew better than to poke the Reaper.
In the afternoon, the placement exams began.
These tests decided the class rankings for the rest of the year, so everyone was on edge.

Chapter 90 The Exam Sabotage
Firushed
Amelia and Sophia ended up in the same testing hall. Sophia sneered at her, “Amelia, with your bottom- feeder grades, you’ll never end up in my class.”
“If your proxy doesn’t show up, you might be joining me at the bottom,” Amelia chirped, a lollipop in her mouth.
“What are you talking about?!”
How does she know about the proxy?!
Sophia always used a ringer–a girl who looked just like her with enough makeup. She’d never been caught.
There were ten minutes until the start, and the ringer was a no–show.
What did you do to her?” Sophia whispered, panicked.
Amelia shrugged. “I saw a girl looking lost on campus, so I called the cops and had them take her to the station. I’m such a Good Samaritan!”
Just then, Sophia got a text. Her ringer had been picked up by a ‘crazy girl‘ and taken to the police station. She wasn’t coming.
Sophia felt the world spinning. She almost fainted right there.
Amelia leaned in, her voice dripping with fake concern, “Oh no, is your proxy busy? That’s too bad!”
She’d known about the ringer for a long time. The girl had plastic surgery to look like Sophia. Amelia just had to wait for her at the gate.
A few quick tricks later, the girl was in the back of a squad car.
Sophia looked like she wanted to strangle Amelia right then and there.
But with the proctor watching, she had to take her seat. She looked at the first page and her mind went blank.
It might as well have been written in Greek. She couldn’t answer a single question.
Amelia, on the other hand, was perfectly calm. She saw the questions and a smirk touched her lips.
In my last life, I failed on purpose to make Eudora happy. This time, I’m going to give them a real surprise.
When the bell rang, Amelia felt great. Sophia looked like she was attending a funeral.
The proctor picked up Sophia’s test and his eyebrows shot up. He couldn’t believe it.
