Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 158

CHAPTER 96-2

“Illegal?” Derek asked.

“Definitely.” I said as he looked inside another crate.

“More.” I said and I called Hunter.

“Secure the vehicles.” I ordered and he nodded.

“What about the people?” Hunter asked.

“Let them run.” I said and Mason looked at me.

“Seriously?” Mason asked.

“Seriously.” I said.

“They’ll come back.” Mason said.

“I know.” I said.

“But they’ll know we have their vehicles.” Mason said.

“I know.” I said and he smiled.

“You’re enjoying this.” He said as I shook my head.

“No.” I said.

I looked toward the darkness where the Black Reapers had disappeared.

“I’m learning.” I said.

We spent the next hour securing the scene. The police were contacted, and Sarah arrived with several officers.

She stepped out of her vehicle and looked toward the abandoned convoy.

“You did this?” Sarah asked and I nodded.

“We didn’t attack them.” I said as she glanced toward the crates.

“You caught them.” She said.

“That’s the idea.” I said and she looked impressed despite herself.

“This is significant.” She said as Derek opened another crate.

“There’s more.” I said as Sarah’s expression hardened.

“We’ll document everything.” She said and I nodded.

“Good.” I said as she looked at me.

CHAPTER 96-

“You understand what this means?” She asked.

“We’ve got evidence.” I said.

“More than that.” She said as she gestured toward the vehicles.

“You’ve disrupted their operation.” She said and I looked at the abandoned motorcycles.

For weeks, the Black Reapers had attacked our businesses, threatened our people and tried to push us into making mistakes.

Tonight, we’d finally forced them to lose something.

And we’d done it without giving them the fight they wanted.

The club members began unloading equipment while the police photographed everything and Mason walked toward me.

“How does it feel?” Mason asked as I looked at him.

“What?” I asked.

“Winning.” He asked and I smiled slightly.

“It feels good.” I said as Derek laughed.

“That’s because you finally admitted it.” Derek said as I shook my head.

“Don’t get used to it.” I said and Mason grinned.

“Too late.” Mason said.

By sunrise, the scene had been cleared. The motorcycles and vehicles were secured, the weapons had been documented, and the Iron Vipers had returned to the clubhouse.

Everyone looked exhausted. But nobody was discouraged.

For the first time in weeks, the mood around the clubhouse felt different. People were smiling. People were talking. People were finally allowing themselves to believe we could actually push back.

I sat at the table while Derek placed the final report in front of me.

“That’s everything.” Derek said and I nodded.

“Good work.” I said as he leaned back.

“You know what this means.” He said.

“Yes.” I said.

“We finally have leverage.” He said and I looked at him.

“We have evidence.” I said.

“And they know it.” He said as I stood.

CHAPTER 962

“That’s enough for now.” I said as my phone buzzed.

Paige.

“Hey.” I answered as her voice sounded tense.

“Are you okay?” She asked.

“I’m fine.” I said.

“Where are you?” She asked.

“Clubhouse.” I said and she hesitated.

“Something happened.” She said and my expression changed.

“What?” I asked.

“I’ll tell you when you get here.” She said.

“Paige.” I said.

“I promise.” She said as I heard the uncertainty in her voice.

“All right.” I said.

“I love you.” She said.

“I love you too.” I said.

The call ended and I stared at the phone for several seconds.

Whatever was bothering her could wait until I got there.

For once, I wanted to enjoy the feeling of a victory before another problem landed on our doorstep.

Across town, Victor stood in front of the remains of the convoy. His face was pale with fury and one of his men stood several feet away.

“They took everything.” The man said as Victor looked at him.

“Everything?” Victor asked.

“The vehicles, the weapons, the motorcycles.” The man said and Victor’s hands clenched.

“And Jace?” Victor asked.

“He didn’t chase them.” The man said as Victor stared at the road.

“What did he do?” Victor asked.
