Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 186
CHAPTER 110-2
“I know.” He said as he handed it to me.
“You earned it.” He added but I hesitated before taking it.
“Thank you.” I said and he smiled.
“There’s more.” He said and I raised an eyebrow
“What?” I asked.
“I have friends who collect motorcycles.” He said and Ben looked at me.
“They’ve been asking where I had this restoration done, and I told them they need to come here.” He added and my eyes widened.
“Oliver.” I said.
“I’m serious. I’ve already sent your details to three of them.” He said as he pulled out his phone again and Mia’ stared at him.
“Three?” I asked.
“Three for now.” He said and I laughed.
“How many motorcycles do they own?” I asked and Oliver smiled.
“Enough.” He said and Ben laughed.
“That’s not an answer.” Ben said but Oliver shrugged.
“One of them has a collection that would make your workshop very happy.” He said and I looked toward the packed garage.
“That sounds dangerous.” I said.
“It’s good business. I’ve spent years building my collection, and collectors talk.” He said and he wasn’t wrong so Oliver walked toward the motorcycle again.
“About restorers?” I asked.
“About everything. When someone finds a shop that actually understands these machines, word spreads quickly.” He said as he looked at me.
I felt a strange sense of pride.
For so long, Lawson Customs had been known as Uncle Will’s shop. Then it had become my shop. Now it was becoming something else.
A place people traveled to because they trusted the work. A premium restoration business and I looked around the workshop.
The waiting list. The new customers. The expansion plans. The open house and now Oliver’s referrals.

It was happening faster than I’d expected and Oliver shook my hand.
You’ve got something special here.” He said.
“Thank you.” I said.
“I’m bringing another bike next month.” He said and I laughed.
“You’re already booking another one?” I asked.
“Of course. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with it.” He smiled.
After Oliver left, I stood behind the counter and watched his motorcycle disappear down the street and
Mia walked over.
“You realize what just happened, right?” She asked and I looked at her.
“We completed a restoration.” I said.
“No.” She said as she pointed toward the road.
“You just got recommended to three wealthy collectors.” She added and I laughed.
“That’s true.” I said.
“That’s huge.” She said as Ben joined us.
“Very huge.” Ben said while I looked at both of them.
“I never thought we’d get here.” I said and Mia smiled.
“Why not?” She asked.
“Because I was too busy trying to keep the place open.” I said.
“Now you’re building something bigger.” She said.
“Maybe.” I said and Ben looked toward the workshop.
“Definitely.” Ben said.
The rest of the morning became busy again.
Phone calls came in. Two new restoration inquiries arrived before lunch and another customer asked whether we could take on a vintage motorcycle that needed a complete rebuild.
Mia started another waiting list specifically for restorations and I laughed when she told me.
“We need another notebook.” Mia smiled.
“We need another office.” I said.
I looked through the window toward the vacant workshop next door.
“That’s coming.” I added.
For a few hours, I allowed myself to enjoy the feeling.
There were still problems. There were still threats. There were still unanswered questions about the Black Reapers and Uncle Will’s journals.
But there were victories too. Small ones and important ones.
The kind that reminded me why I was fighting so hard to keep Lawson Customs alive.
Around three in the afternoon, I was working on the engine of another motorcycle when Ben suddenly stopped beside me.
“Paige.” He said and I looked up.
“What?” I asked but he wasn’t smiling anymore and he nodded toward the front window.
“Don’t look immediately.” He said and my stomach tightened.
“Why?” I asked.
r
“Someone’s been standing across the road.” He said so I slowly lowered the tool in my hand.
“For how long?” I asked.
“I noticed them about ten minutes ago.” He said.
“Who is it?” I asked.
“I don’t know.” He said so I kept my eyes on the motorcycle.
“Can you describe them?” I asked.
“Dark jacket, baseball cap and they’re standing beside a parked vehicle.” He said.
“Have they moved?” I asked.
“Not much.” He said so I forced myself to keep working.
“Could be a customer.” I said but Ben shook his head.
“They haven’t looked toward the front door.” He said.
“Then what are they watching?” I asked but he didn’t answer so I finally glanced toward the window.
Across the road, a dark SUV sat near the curb and the person beside it had turned slightly away.
I couldn’t see their face but then the person lifted a phone.
They took a photograph of Lawson Customs and my stomach dropped and Ben saw it too.
