Summary for Chapter 219: Ride With Me (Paige and Jace)

Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 219

CHAPTER 127-1

The first morning of construction arrived before I was ready for it, because I had spent half the night staring at the plans and imagining what Lawson Customs would look like once the empty workshop next door became part of our business.

I woke before my alarm, and Jace was still asleep beside me, so I slipped out of bed quietly and headed into the bathroom.

I showered, brushed my teeth, and pulled my hair into a ponytail before dressing in jeans, boots, and an old Lawson Customs shirt.

When I walked downstairs, the clubhouse kitchen was already busy.

Emma was making coffee, Mia was packing food into containers, and Mason was standing at the refrigerator with the door open.

“You’ve been awake for five minutes, and you’ve already eaten half the breakfast.” Emma said as Mason looked offended.

“I’m preparing for manual labor.” Mason said.

“You’ve been preparing since six this morning.” Emma said and I laughed as I walked into the kitchen.

“Morning.” I said as Emma smiled.

“Big day.” She said.

“Very big.” I said.

Jace came downstairs a few minutes later, and he kissed my cheek before grabbing a cup of coffee.

“You ready?” He asked.

“As ready as I’ll ever be.” I said and he smiled.

“Then let’s go.” He said.

When we reached Lawson Customs, the neighboring workshop looked completely different from the day before, because construction equipment had already been delivered and the first section of the old interior had been cleared.

A large excavator sat near the front entrance, while stacks of timber and building materials were arranged along the side of the property.

I stood there for a moment, and I couldn’t stop smiling.

“This is really happening.” I said as Jace wrapped an arm around my waist.

“It is.” He said as I looked toward the garage.

“Lawson Customs is getting bigger.” I said.

“And you’re going to have to work even harder.” He said as I elbowed him lightly.

CHAPTER 12

Thanks for reminding me.” I said as he laughed.

Before we could do anything else, the sound of motorcycles filled the parking lot.

Derek arrived first, followed by Mason, Ben, Ethan and several other kron Vipers and I stared at them.

“What are you all doing here?” I asked as Mason removed his helmet.

“We’re helping.” Mason said.

“You have work.” I said.

“Not today.” He said as Derek pointed toward the construction area.

“Where do you want us?” Derek asked and I laughed.

“You guys know you’re volunteering, right?” I asked and Mason grinned.

“That’s why we’re smiling.” He said.

More motorcycles arrived, and soon the parking lot was full.

The wives and families followed behind them, because apparently nobody had planned on letting me spend the day working without feeding me.

Emma climbed out of a truck carrying two large coolers.

“We brought drinks.” Emma said as Sophia followed with several containers of food.

“And lunch.” Sophia said as I looked around.

“You didn’t have to do all this.” I said and Emma smiled.

“We wanted to.” She said and I felt something tighten in my chest.

“Thank you.” I said as she hugged me.

“You’re family.” She said.

Those two words hit me harder than I expected. Family.

Claim

I had spent so much time feeling like I was standing just outside the circle, and now everyone was acting like my success belonged to them too.

I turned away for a moment because I didn’t want anyone seeing my eyes getting wet bit Jace noticed

anyway.

“You okay?” He asked and I nodded.

“Yeah.” I said.

“You sure?” He asked

“I’m just happy.” I said as he kissed me.
