Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 243
CHAPTER 139-2
“I know, Paige, and I’m sorry, but you have to help me.” She added.
I didn’t know what to believe. Before I could ask another question, Diesel’s barking became even louder. Then I heard it. A distant engine and then another and then several more.
My stomach dropped. Motorcycles. A lot of them and Charlotte looked toward the road.
“They found me.” She said.
“What?” I asked.
“I told you. They followed me!” She said as she backed toward me.
The first motorcycle appeared at the end of the street. Then another and then another.
Black Reaper bikes and my heart began pounding.
“Get down.” I said as I grabbed Charlotte and pulled her toward the concrete wall beside the workshop entrance and she stumbled after me.
“What are you doing?” She asked.
“Getting you somewhere safe.” I said.
A gunshot cracked through the night and Charlotte screamed.
I dropped lower behind the wall and another shot followed. Then another.
Glass shattered somewhere inside the office and I covered my head as bullets struck the garage exterior.
“Stay down!” I yelled as Diesel growled beside us.
The motorcycles accelerated toward the property. Then headlights appeared from the opposite direction.
Several vehicles were racing toward Lawson Customs.
I recognized the first motorcycle immediately.
Jace.
Relief hit me so hard that my entire body nearly went weak.
Behind him came Mason, Derek, and several other Iron Vipers.
Jace pulled into the yard, and the club immediately spread out.
“Paige!” Jace yelled.
“I’m here!” I yelled back and he spotted me behind the wall.
“Stay down!” He said.
“I’m with Charlotte!” I said and his eyes shifted toward her.
CHAPTER 1399
Chut
For a mument, his expression harderied. Then another burst of gunfire erupted from the road and the Iron Vipers moved into position.
Derek shouted something to Mason, and the men spread along the front of the property while Jace moved toward us.
“Are you hurt?” Jace asked.
“No.” I said as he crouched beside me.
“Charlotte?” Jace asked and she shook her head.
“No.” She said as Jace looked toward the road.
“How many?” Jace asked.
“At least six.” I said.
“More are coming.” He said as I looked at him.
“How do you know?” I asked.
He pointed toward the distant headlights and my stomach tightened.
This wasn’t a warning. This wasn’t intimidation. They had come here to make a statement.
The gunfire continued, and bullets struck the concrete wall above our heads as Charlotte ducked lower.
“They’re going to kill me.” Charlotte said and I looked at her.
“Why?” I asked.
“Because I took something.” She said and Jace looked at her.
“What did you take?” Jace asked as Charlotte’s breathing became frantic.
“I have proof.” She said.
“Proof of what?” He asked and she looked at me.
“Victor.” She said.
Another bullet struck the wall and I flinched.
“Charlotte, tell us now.” I demanded.
“I can’t.” She said.
“You need to.” I said.
“I recorded him.” She said and Jace stared at her.
“You recorded Victor?” Jace asked and Charlotte nodded.
“I didn’t mean to at first. But when I realized what he was saying, I kept the recording.” She said as she wiped tears from her face and Jace looked toward me.

CHAPTER 13952-
My mind raced. The journals. The missing evidence. The warehouse fire. Victor’s obsession with Lawson Customs. Everything suddenly felt connected.
“What did he say?” I asked and Charlotte shook her head.
“I don’t know everything.” She said.
“Then tell us what you do know.” I demanded.
“He talked about Paige.” She said and my blood ran cold.
“What about me?” I asked.
“He said you’re the key.” She said.
“To what?” I asked.
“I don’t know.” She said.
Another motorcycle roared closer, and the Iron Vipers raised their weapons and Jace moved in front of us.
“Stay behind the wall.” Jace said as I grabbed his arm.
“Jace. Don’t do anything stupid.” I said and he looked at me.
“I’m not.” He said.
“I mean it.” I said.
“I know.” He said.
He squeezed my hand and then he turned toward the others.
“Hold the line.” Jace yelled and the club moved together, and the Black Reapers slowed near the entrance.
For several seconds, neither side moved.
Then a shot rang out and concrete exploded beside my shoulder.
Charlotte screamed and grabbed my arm and I pulled her closer.
“Stay down!” I said.
“I have proof!” She said as her voice was almost lost beneath the gunfire.
“What?” I asked.
