Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 270
CHAPTER 154-2
“You’re smiling.” He said and I turned around to see Jace standing behind me.
“I like seeing this.” I said.
“So do I. You built something good.” He said as he slipped an arm around my waist.
“We built something good.” I said and he smiled
Before I could answer, another motorcycle pulled into the parking lot.
I recognized the rider immediately and Sarah Collins removed her helmet and walked toward us.
“Morning.” She said.
“Morning.” I said as she looked around.
“This place is packed.” She said.
“You’re not the first person to say that.” I said and She smiled.
“I brought something.” She said as she pointed toward the motorcycle behind her and I looked at it.
The bike was older, well maintained, and clearly loved, but there was an obvious problem with the front
end.
“What’s wrong with it?” I asked.
“My dad has been complaining about the steering for months.” She said.
“Then let’s have a look.” I said and Sarah followed me into the workshop.
“He’s had this motorcycle forever. He refuses to replace it.” She said.
“Sounds familiar.” I said and she laughed.
“Apparently, stubbornness is hereditary.” She said.
I crouched beside the motorcycle and inspected the front end.
“Give me twenty minutes.” I said as Sarah looked surprised.
“You’re sure?” She asked.
“It’s charity day.” I said.
“I know, but you have a hundred other bikes here.” She said and I stood.
“Your dad qualifies.” I said and she smiled.
“Thank you.” She said.
I spent the next half hour working on the motorcycle while Sarah stayed nearby, occasionally answering questions from customers who recognized her as a police officer.

Claim
The problem wasn’t as serious as it had first appeared, but it needed attention, and I made sure everything was safe before handing the motorcycle back. So I wiped my hands on a rag.
“Take it for a short ride first, and if anything feels wrong, bring it straight back.” I said and Sarah looked at the motorcycle and then at me.
“You really aren’t charging him?” She asked.
“No.” I said.
“Not even labor?” She asked.
“No.” I said and she smiled.
“My dad is going to be thrilled.” She said.
“He better be.” I said and Sarah laughed.
“Thank you, Paige.” She said.
She extended her hand, but I pulled her into a brief hug instead.
“You’re welcome.” I said.
For the rest of the afternoon, the charity event continued, and by the time the last motorcycle left, everyone looked exhausted and Ben dropped onto a chair.
“My back hurts.” Ben said.
“You’re twenty-two.” Aiden said and Ben stared at him.
“You’re twenty-seven.” Ben said.
“I know.” Aiden said.
“That makes this worse.” Bean said and Mia walked past carrying a stack of paperwork.
“You two are getting old.” Mia said as Ben groaned and I laughed as Jace came up behind me.
“You ready to go?” Jace asked.
“Almost.” I said as I looked around the workshop.
The place was messy, but it was the good kind of messy, because every dirty rag, empty coffee cup, and scattered tool represented somebody who had received help.
“I think this was worth it.” I said as Jace nodded.
“It definitely was.” Jace said.
Sarah was preparing to leave when she glanced toward Jace.
“Can I talk to you privately?” Sarah asked and his expression changed slightly.
“Sure.” He said.

watched them walk toward the side of the building, and I could tell immediately that this wasn’t about Tier father’s motorcycle.
I started gathering paperwork with Mia, but I kept one eye on the two of them.
Sarah crossed her arms and Jace listened. Then his entire posture stiffened.
I couldn’t hear what she was saying from where I stood, but I didn’t need to.
Whatever she had just told him had changed the mood completely.
A few minutes later, Jace walked back toward me.
“What happened?” I asked and he looked at Sarah before answering.
“She wanted to tell me something privately.” He said.
