Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 275
CHAPTER 157-1
I stayed in the clubhouse office long after everyone else had started drifting away, because I couldn’t bring myself to close Uncle Will’s journal and pretend that the words written across those old pages didn’t
matter.
The symbol stared back at me from the faded paper, and the warning beneath it seemed even more unsettling now that we knew Victor had used the exact same mark.
I ran my fingertip carefully along the edge of the page, because the paper was old and fragile, and I didn’t want to damage something that might eventually give us another answer.
Jace stood behind me with his arms folded.
“You’ve been looking at that page for ten minutes.” Jace said.
“I know.” I said.
“You’re going to wear a hole through it.” He said.
“I might.” I said.
He smiled slightly, but his expression remained serious.
“You need to sleep.” He said.
“I know that too.” I said.
I closed the journal, although I didn’t put it away.
Instead, I reached for another one and Jace raised an eyebrow.
“Paige.” He said.
“I just want to check something.” I said.
“You said that twenty minutes ago.” He said.
“And now I’m checking it again.” I said.
He sighed, but he didn’t stop me. I opened the next journal and began turning through the pages slowly.
Uncle Will had never been particularly organized, and his handwriting changed depending on how quickly he had been writing. Some pages contained detailed notes about motorcycle repairs, while others had only a few words, dates, or names.
I searched every page connected to the warehouse. Then I searched the years surrounding it.
Nothing.
I moved to another journal.
Still nothing.

CHAPTER 1St –
Clim
A third journal gave me several references to James Mercer, my uncle’s work at the warehouse, and a few unexplained notes about money that had apparently disappeared after the fire.
But there was no explanation.
“No symbol.” I whispered and Jace pulled out a chair.
“Maybe there isn’t another one.” Jace said.
“There has to be.” I said.
“Why?” He asked.
“Because Uncle Will didn’t draw something like that for no reason.” I said and Jace sat across from me.
“You’re assuming he understood what it meant.” Jace said and I stopped turning pages.
“What if he didn’t?” I asked.
“That is what I’ve been thinking.” He said and I looked at him and Jace leaned forward.
“Maybe Uncle Will crossed paths with these people without knowing exactly who they were.” I said.
“That would explain why he never wrote Mr. Black’s name directly.” Jace said.
“Exactly. He could have seen the symbol, noticed something was wrong, and started keeping records.” I said as I looked down at the journal.
“And then the warehouse burned.” He said and I nodded slowly.
“That doesn’t mean he was part of anything.” I said.
“No, but it could mean he accidentally stepped into something much bigger than he realized.” He said.
The thought made my stomach tighten and Uncle Will had spent years fixing motorcycles, helping people, and running the garage, but maybe there had been another part of his life that I had never known about.
Maybe he had stumbled across something dangerous while simply trying to help.
I turned another page. Then another. But nothing.
I reached for the oldest journal again and flipped through it from the beginning and Jace watched quietly.
