Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 360
CHAPTER 198-2
“Did you ever see him near them?” I asked.
“No, but he told me where they lived, where my mother worked, and what time my sister usually came home.” Kyle said and Derek’s expression hardened.
“That would be enough to scare anyone.” Derek said as Kyle looked at him.
“It was enough to keep me obedient.” Kyle said and I handed the phone back.
“You still chose to work against us.” I said.
“I did.” Kyle said as he looked toward the floor.
“I’m not asking you to excuse that.” Kyle added.
“Good.” I said.
“I’m asking you to understand why I finally stopped.” Kyle said.
“What changed?” I asked and Kyle looked at me.
“Victor ordered me to steal the journals, and then he told me something else.” Kyle said.
“What?” I asked.
“He said once he had them, everyone connected to the old investigation would become a problem.” Kyle said and my stomach tightened.
“Who did he mean?” I asked.
“I don’t know.” He said.
“Try.” I said.
“I heard names before, but I never knew which ones were real. He said.
“Give me whatever you remember.” I said and Kyle took a breath.
“There was Mr. Black, and there was another person Victor called the Keeper.” Kyle said as Derek looked at me.
“The Keeper?” Derek asked and Kyle nodded.
“I don’t know who that is.” Kyle said.
“What else?” Derek asked.
“Victor said Will had hidden something that should have been destroyed years ago.” Kyle said.
“The journals?” Derek asked.
“I think they were evidence of it.” Kyle said and I stepped closer.
CHAPTER 198
“What was hidden?” I asked
“I don’t know.” He said as he looked frustrated.
“I swear I don’t know.” He added.
A metallic sound echoed somewhere deeper inside the warehouse and Derek immediately turned.
“What was that?” Derek asked as Kyle looked around.
“I don’t know.” Kyle said and I raised my hand.
Everyone went quiet.
The warehouse settled into silence again and I studied the upper levels and broken windows.
Something felt wrong.
“We need to move.” Derek said and Kyle nodded.
“There’s something else you need to know.” Kyle said.
“Tell me.” Derek said.
“Victor is planning another attack.” Kyle said and my attention snapped back to him.
“When?” I asked.
“Soon.” He said.
“How soon?” I asked.
“I don’t know the exact time.” He said.
“Where?” I asked and as Kyle opened his mouth another sound came.
A sharp crack split the warehouse and Kyle jerked backward.
For a second, nobody moved before he collapsed.
“Kyle!” I yelled.
す
Claim
I caught him before he hit the concrete, while Derek dropped behind a support column and looked toward the upper windows.
“Shooter!” Derek shouted.
I pulled Kyle behind cover but blood spread across his shirt, and his breathing became shallow.
“Stay with me.” I said as Kyle’s eyes struggled to focus.
“I tried.” Kyle said.
“I know.” I said.
“I tried to tell you.” Kyle said.

CHAPTER 1982 –
“You’re going to tell me now.” I said.
Another shot struck the concrete nearby, and fragments scattered across the floor.
Claim
Derek fired toward the upper windows while shouting for me to move and I dragged Kyle farther behind
cover.
“We have to get out.” I yelled and Kyle grabbed my jacket.
“No.” He said.
“You’re hurt.” I said.
“I know.” He said.
“You’re losing blood.” I said as Kyle’s grip tightened.
“The attack.” Kyle said.
“I heard you.” I said.
“The location.” Kyle said.
“Tell me.” I said as he struggled to breathe.
“Harbour.” He said and I stared at him.
“What harbour?” I asked.
Kyle tried to speak again, but his eyes began to lose focus.
“Harbour…” He repeated and then his hand went slack.
I checked for a pulse, but there was nothing.
Kyle was dead.
For several seconds, I couldn’t move and Derek grabbed my shoulder.
“We need to go.” Derek yelled as I looked at him.
“He knew.” I said.
“I know.” Derek said.
“He was going to tell us where the attack was happening.” I said.
“I know.” He said.
Another shot struck the wall and Derek pulled me toward the rear exit, and we ran.
We crossed the warehouse floor while bullets struck concrete behind us, and we didn’t stop until we reached the darkness outside.
We crouched behind a parked vehicle while Derek scanned the surrounding buildings.

“He was positioned somewhere above us.” I said.
“Probably.” Derek said as Mooked back toward the warehouse.
