Paige’s POV

The word had been sitting in my mind since Jace called me from the warehouse.

Harbour.

Kyle had barely managed to say it before he died, and now the entire Iron Vipers clubhouse was trying to figure out exactly what he had meant.

Ethan stood at the table with several maps spread across the surface, while Derek Jeaned over his shoulder and Jace studied the information in silence.

“There are three commercial harbour areas within driving distance Two are still active, and one has been abandoned for years.” Ethan said and I looked at the map.

“Which one?” I asked as Ethan pointed toward an old industrial district.

“This one.” He said as Jace moved closer.

“What do you know about it?” Jace asked.

“Not much officially, but I found older records showing it was used for commercial freight before the company that owned it went under.” Ethan said and Derek frowned.

“And unofficially?” Derek said as Ethan looked at him.

“Smuggling.” Ethan said as the room became quiet.

“How long ago?” Jace asked.

“Several years, but there were reports of stolen motorcycles, weapons, and forged shipping documents moving through the area.” Ethan said and I looked at Jace.

“You think Victor is using it again?” I asked.

“I think Kyle knew enough to give us that word for a reason.” Jace said and Ethan nodded.

“I found something else.” Ethan said as he turned his laptop toward us.

“There were several companies listed on the old harbour records, and some of them were connected to businesses we have already seen in our financial investigation.” Ethan explained and Jace’s expression hardened.

“So the money trail connects here.” Jace said.

“It might.” Ethan said.

“That’s enough for me.” Jace said and I stepped closer.

“I’m coming.” I said and Jace immediately shook his head.

“No.” Jace said.

“I’m taking Derek, Mason, and Ethan.” Jace said and Ethan looked surprised.

“You want me there?” Ethan asked.

“You found the records, so yes.” Jace said and I sighed.

“Fine.” I said and Jace walked over and took my hands.

“We aren’t attacking anyone.” Jace said.

“I know.” I said.

“We’re going in, confirming what is there, and getting out.” He said.

“I know.” I said.

“If we see something dangerous, we leave.” He said and I squeezed his hands.

“Just come back.” I said.
