Summary for Chapter 363: Ride With Me (Paige and Jace)

Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 363

CHAPTER 200-1

Jace’s POV

Victor stood above us on the shipping container, and the smile on his face told me everything I needed to know.

He had planned this.

The harbour was surrounded, the Black Reapers had the high ground, and every obvious exit appeared to be covered.

Victor slowly lowered his hands after his applause.

“You have two choices, Jace.” Victor said as I kept my weapon lowered but ready.

“I’m listening.” I said.

“You walk away from this.” He said as Derek glanced toward me while Victor continued.

“You give up the territory around Lawson Customs, stop interfering with my operations, and tell your people that the Iron Vipers are finished fighting.” Victor said and I almost laughed.

“You expect me to surrender?” I asked.

“I expect you to understand reality.” Victor said as I looked around the harbour.

There were dozens of Black Reapers surrounding us, but I also noticed something Victor hadn’t expected

me to notice.

Some of his men were nervous.

They were watching us instead of watching their leader, and several were positioned poorly around the containers.

Victor had numbers, but numbers didn’t automatically mean control.

“You’ve already lost.” Victor said.

“No.” I said as I looked directly at him.

“You have.” I added and his smile faded.

“You’re surrounded.” Victor said.

“And you still needed to lure us here.” I said as Victor stared at me.

“You think this is a game?” Victor asked.

“No, I think you’re scared of what happens if we keep digging.” I said as his expression hardened.

“You have one last chance.” Victor said.

“I don’t need one.” I said and Victor raised his hand.

CHAPTER 200+ –

“Open fire.” Victor said and the first shots shattered the silence.

Derek dragged me behind a steel container as bullets struck the metal around us, while Mason and the others moved toward cover.

The harbour erupted into chaos.

Gunfire echoed between the containers, and men shouted from every direction as the Iron Vipers returned

fire.

I stayed low and watched the surrounding positions.

“Derek!” I yelled.

“I’m here!” Derek yelled.

“Get Mason toward the maintenance canal.” I yelled and Derek looked toward the far side of the harbour.

“That route is blocked.” Derek said.

“Not anymore.” I said as I pointed toward a gap between two containers.

“Move when I tell you.” I yelled.

Another burst of gunfire struck the container above us.

Mason fired back, forcing several Black Reapers to retreat.

“Now!” I yelled and Derek and Mason moved.

I followed, keeping close to the containers while the rest of our team covered the movement.

The Black Reapers were stronger than expected, but they were also less coordinated than I had anticipated.

Victor had brought enough men to intimidate us, but he hadn’t expected us to fight our way through.

One of our men stumbled behind a vehicle and I grabbed him and pulled him into cover.

“You hit?” I asked.

“My shoulder.” He said.

“Can you move?” I asked.

“I can move.” He said.

“Then stay with Derek.” I said and he nodded.

Another member had taken a hit to the leg, but Mason dragged him behind cover while Ethan stayed close enough to help.

Nobody was down.

That mattered. We could still get out and Derek pulled a smoke grenade from his gear.

CHAPTER 200

“Ready?” Derek asked.

“Do it.” I said.

He threw it toward the center of the yard and smoke spread across the harbour, blocking visibility and turning the bright floodlights into hazy circles.

“Move!” I yelled.

We ran.

The Black Reapers fired into the smoke, but their shots became scattered because they couldn’t see where we were.
