CHAPTER 214-2
“I think I did too.” I said and he slipped an arm around my waist.
“You’ve been carrying a lot.” He said.
“So have you.” I said as he kissed my temple.
“Then we’re both allowed to enjoy today.” He said and I leaned against him.
For a few minutes, I simply watched everyone and then Ben approached.
“Paige.” Ben said and I looked at him.
“What is it?” I asked.
He pointed toward the motorcycles parked near the clubhouse.
“The police released the recovered bikes that weren’t damaged in the fire.” He said and I
nodded.
“I know.” I said.
“We’re going to repair them?” He asked.
“Yes.” I said.
“Some of them are in rough shape.” He said.
“I know.” I said and Ben waited as I looked at him.
“What?” I asked.
“Are we charging the owners?” He asked and I shook my head.
“No.” I said as his eyebrows lifted.
“You’re serious?” He asked.
“Completely.” I said as Aiden walked over.
“All of them?” Aiden asked.
“All of them that survived the fire and can legally be returned to their owners.” I said and Ben
smiled.
“That is a lot of work.” Ben said,

“I know.” I said.
“And some of the parts won’t be cheap.” He said.
“I know that too.” I said as Jace looked at me.
“Paige.” Jace said as I turned toward him.
“What?” I asked.
“You don’t have to pay for everything.” He said.
“I know.” I said as he waited and I smiled.
“I want to.” I said.
He looked at me for several seconds before nodding.
“Then we’ll help.” Jace said and I looked toward Ben and Aiden.
“We’ll repair every motorcycle we can.” I said and Ben grinned.
“I’ll start tomorrow.” Ben said.
“Today.” I said and he laughed.
“You really don’t believe in days off.” He said.
“Not when someone is waiting to get their motorcycle back.” I said.

The decision spread quickly through the club and several members offered to help transport
the motorcycles to Lawson Customs.
Others volunteered to clean them and Ben and Aiden started making a list of what each bike
needed.
Mia offered to contact the owners and I stood there watching everyone work, and something
inside me tightened with emotion.
These motorcycles had belonged to people who had lost them through no fault of their own.
Some had been stolen from businesses. Others had been taken from private owners. Some
had been damaged while being moved through Victor’s network.
I knew what it felt like to have someone threaten the things you had built.
If I could give some of these people something back, I wanted to do it.

The first owner arrived at Lawson Customs two days later and he stared at his motorcycle.
“I thought it was gone forever.” He said.
“It isn’t.” I said and he looked at me.
“How much do I owe you?” He asked.
“Nothing.” I said and his eyes widened.
“Nothing?” He asked but I shook my head.
“We’re repairing it and returning it.” I said as he looked toward the workshop.
“Why?” He asked and I thought about that for a moment.
“Because someone took it from you, and I know what it feels like when someone tries to take
something you’ve worked for.” I said as he shook my hand.
“Thank you.” He said.
The second owner brought coffee. The third brought lunch and the fourth brought flowers.
Soon, people were talking about Lawson Customs all over town. Customers who had never
met me began stopping by simply to thank us.
One local business owner posted about the repairs online, and the story spread faster than I
expected.
Mia walked into the office one afternoon with her phone in her hand.
“You need to see this.” She said as I looked up.
“What?” I asked as she showed me the post.
People were talking about Lawson Customs. They were talking about the free repairs. They
were talking about the Iron Vipers helping local businesses.
They were talking about me and I shook my head.
“I didn’t do this for attention.” I said.
“I know.” She said.
“I just wanted people to get their motorcycles back.” I said.
“That’s exactly why people respect you.” She said and I looked through the office window.

< CHAPTER 214-2
Ben was working on another recovered bike while Aiden was beside him.
Jace was helping move equipment and Charlotte was filing paperwork.
The garage was busy again.
It was alive.
That mattered more to me than anything anyone could write online.
That evening, I closed the office and stepped outside.

The sun was beginning to set, and the parking lot was filled with motorcycles waiting for
repairs so Jace walked toward me.
“You know what I heard today?” He asked.
“What?” I asked.
