Summary for Chapter 405: Ride With Me (Paige and Jace)

Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 405

CHAPTER 220-1

Jace’s POV

Derek’s call ended, and I was already moving before I had time to think about what came

next.

“Call Church.” I said.

“Already doing it.” Derek said.

I grabbed my jacket from the chair and followed him through the garage, while members

began appearing from every direction as the message spread.

Church wasn’t supposed to happen this late. That alone told everyone something was wrong.

Within minutes, every available patched member was heading toward the main room of the clubhouse, and the usual conversations disappeared beneath the sound of boots crossing

the floor and chairs being dragged into position.

Mason entered first, followed by Ethan and several other members who had been nearby.

“How many?” Mason asked.

“Derek is still getting the numbers.” I said.

“And the families?” Mason asked.

“They’re moving now.” I said and Mason nodded.

Nobody needed further explanation and I walked into Church and looked around the table.

Every available patched member was there, and every face carried the same understanding.

The Black Reapers were moving.

“What we know is simple. Multiple Black Reaper motorcycles are gathering near the county

line.” I said.

“How many?” Someone asked.

“Scouts are still counting.” I said.

“Are they coming here?” He asked.

“They’re heading toward our territory.” I said and the room became silent so I placed both

hands against the table.

“We’re not riding out to meet them.” I said and a few heads turned.

“We’ve spent months reacting to Victor’s moves, and tonight we’re not giving him another

fight on his terms.” I added as Mason nodded.

“So we defend.” Mason said.

“We defend. Nobody crosses our boundary unless I give the order.” I confirmed and Derek

entered carrying his phone.

“We have more information.” Derek said as everyone looked at him.

“There are at least thirty motorcycles.” Derek added.

A low curse moved around the table and Derek continued.

“They’re not traveling in one group, but the riders are converging on the same route.” Derek

said.

“Weapons?” I asked.

“We can’t confirm that yet.” Derek said.

“Then assume they’re armed.” I said and nobody argued so I looked at Ethan.

“Keep communication open with Sarah.” I said.

“She already knows something is happening. She has patrol units watching the roads, but

she doesn’t want them moving in unless there is a confirmed crime.” Ethan replied.

“That’s fine.” I said and I looked around the table again.

“We don’t start anything tonight.” I added and Mason folded his arms.

“And if they attack?” Mason asked.

“Then we protect our territory and our people.” I said.

That was the difference.

We weren’t looking for revenge. We weren’t looking for another warehouse. We weren’t riding

into an ambush because Victor wanted us angry.
