Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 435
CHAPTER 234-1
Jace’s POV
The call came before I had even finished explaining what we had learned about the new name in
the ledgers.
“There has been an attack.” He said as I stopped beside the dining table.
The voice on the other end belonged to Mason, and the urgency in his tone erased every trace of the warmth that had filled the room only minutes earlier.
“Where?” I asked.
“County Road Twelve, near the old quarry entrance.” He said.
“How many?” I asked.
“Four on patrol. We lost contact with two of them, and the other two are pinned down.” He said as I was already reaching for my jacket.
“Who attacked them?” I asked and there was a brief pause.
“Black Reapers.” He said and my jaw tightened.
“They came back.” I said.
“I am afraid so.” He said and I looked at Paige and she was already standing.
“I’m coming.” She said.
“No.” I said and her eyes narrowed.
“Jace.” She said.
“You stay here.” I said.
“We just found another connection to my family, and now one of your patrols is under attack. I’m not sitting at this table waiting for another phone call.” She said and Charles stood slowly.
“Paige.” Charles said as she looked at him.
“I know what you’re going to say, Dad, but I’m not going anywhere near the fighting.” She said as Jace stepped closer.
“She stays here with everyone else.” Jace said.
Paige looked at me for several seconds before finally nodding.

CHAPTER 234-1
“Come back.” She said.
“will.” I said.
I kissed her quickly, then turned toward the door.
Derek was already outside when I stepped onto the porch, and Mason’s truck was pulling into the
driveway.
“Who is with the patrol?” I asked.
“Ryan, Cole, Mason, and Tyler were nearby. They’re moving toward the location now.” Derek said
and I nodded.
“Tell them not to chase anyone who runs.” I said and Derek looked at me.
“You think this is another diversion?” Derek asked.
“I think Victor has taught us not to assume anything.” I said.
We climbed into the truck, and Mason drove hard toward County Road Twelve.
The Iron Vipers responded within minutes. Three trucks left the clubhouse, followed by two
motorcycles.
Nobody needed to be told what was happening.
The patrol had been attacked inside our territory, and every patched member understood what
that meant.
By the time we reached the county road, gunfire was already echoing through the trees and Mason
slowed near the bend.
“Down.” Mason yelled.
We ducked as bullets struck the side of the truck.
“Move!” I yelled.
Derek jumped from the passenger side and fired toward the tree line while Mason positioned the truck behind a concrete drainage barrier.
I climbed out and immediately saw two of our patrol bikes lying on their sides near the shoulder.
One rider was crouched behind a damaged pickup. The second was behind a tree farther down
the road.
“Ryan!” I yelled.
