Jace’s POV

Paige was already waiting for me when I walked into the clubhouse.

She stood near the main room with her arms folded, while Emma, Sophia, and several of the other

women were gathered nearby.

The clubhouse had become our safest location for now, and every entrance was being watched.

Paige hadn’t argued when I told her to return to the clubhouse. That worried me more than an

argument would have.

“You’re back.” She said.

“For now.” I said as her eyes searched my face.

“What happened?” She asked.

“Sarah gave us a location.” I said as Paige’s expression hardened.

“And?” She asked.

“We’re going after him.” I said and she nodded.

“I knew you would.” She said as I stepped closer.

“You stay here.” He said.

“I know.” I said.

“The clubhouse is secured.” He said.

“I know that too.” I said as she lowered her voice.

“But you don’t trust Sarah.” She said.

“No.” I said.

“What happened?” She asked and I looked around the room.

“Derek, Mason, Ethan, Tyler, and I are surrounding the property now, while the rest of the club stays here.” He said and Paige nodded.

“Then find him.” She said as I touched her cheek.

“I will.” I said and her hand covered mine.

“Come back to me.” She said.

“I always do.” I said.

The moment I stepped outside, Derek was already waiting.

“Everyone is in position.” Derek said.

“Good.” I said as Mason checked his weapon.

“Sarah sent the location directly.” Mason said and I looked at him.

“I know.” I said.

“You still think she’s involved?” Mason asked.

“I think she knows more than she’s telling us.” I said.

“That’s different.” He said.

“Not by much.” I said and Ethan joined us.

“Tyler confirmed the property.” Ethan said and I nodded.

“Then we move.” I said.

We left the clubhouse in separate vehicles, and the convoy split before we reached the eastern

highway.

Derek took the northern road. Mason took the western route. Ethan and I approached from the south with Tyler and Paige remained at the clubhouse, surrounded by people I trusted.

That was the only reason I could focus.

Victor had already threatened her publicly, attacked businesses connected to us, and made it clear that he wanted to destroy everything she had built.

I wasn’t giving him another opportunity.

Tyler pointed toward the road ahead.

“The property is just beyond that bend.” Tyler said and I slowed.

“Any other exits?” I asked.

“There are three.” He said.

“Which one would Victor use?” I asked.

“The eastern gate.” He said.

“Then Derek covers it.” I said and I called him.

“Take the eastern gate.” I ordered.

“I’m already there.” Derek said and I looked at Tyler.

“How?” I asked and he frowned.

“What?” Tyler asked.

“You said Victor would use the eastern gate.” I said.

“Yes.” Tyler said.

“You knew that before we reached the property.” I said.
